Fox has officially pulled the plug on The Simple Life. It's not like we couldn't see this one coming. After months of trying to figure out how to make Nicole and Paris work together FOX finally came up with something where they would not have to share screen time. Unfortunately idea of the WIT (wives-in-training) no longer works now that Paris is not getting married. However, FOX came up with more of a scheduling excuse. I think they were just too high maintenance to deal with for the network. E! Online details Fox's statement:

"At Fox we have a unique midseason situation," the network said. "In January we have to accommodate 2 1/2 hours of new programming with 24 and American Idol. We also have completed episodes of both scripted and unscripted series in the wings. We're enjoying solid performances by our returning shows and we've also already ordered full seasons of Prison Break, Bones and The War at Home. Collectively, we did not see a place for The Simple Life on our schedule this season."

The good news is PRISON BREAK has been ordered!!!
