Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley is playing real-life singer Jeff Buckley in the upcoming biopic Greetings From Tim Buckley, and the film's Facebook page has the first shots of the actor in character. He's got the guitar and the earnest singer-songwriter expression. No word on how well his version of "Hallelujah" is yet, but check out the images of him now.
Yesterday, the stars of Gossip Girl were back on the NYC set. Leighton Meester donned a Pink Floyd tee with an ornate hairpiece between scenes, while Penn Badgley snuck a snack before getting into his Upper East Side finest. The two were joined by leading lady Michelle Trachtenberg, too. Penn, Michelle, and Leighton have logged time before the cameras with the rest of their gang, including Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, and Ed Westwick. Blake's focusing on Gossip Girl as she and the cast wrap up shooting their sixth and final season. The Gossip Girl style for upcoming episodes is as over-the-top as we've come to expect, and we'll see on Oct. 9, the season debut, if the drama is as well.
Blake Lively and Leighton Meester linked up with their male costars on the NYC set of Gossip Girl yesterday. The show returns for its sixth and final season on Oct. 8, and in the Gossip Girl sneak peek trailer, it appears there's a wedding on the horizon for one of our favorite Upper East Siders. Leighton Meister's and Ed Westwick's characters, Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass, seem to be making another go of it, but we'll have to see if Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) can put the pieces together and finally uncover the mystery behind Gossip Girl.
The Dark Knight Rises cast made an entrance at their big premiere in NYC last night. Leading ladies Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotillard both looked glamorous in white, with Anne wearing a Prabal Gurung gown, with Kwiat jewels, and Marion in a short Christian Dior dress. Their costar Christian Bale was dapper in a suit and vest as he posed with wife Sibi on their way into the event. Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman were also on hand, as was actress Juno Temple. Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester showed up for the screening but skipped the carpet, while her small-screen costars Michelle Trachtenberg and Penn Badgley both stopped for cameras.
Anne has been on the go promoting her Summer blockbuster ahead of its release this Friday, and to get you ready, we're taking a look back at all The Dark Knight Rises pictures. Anne has made time for her fiancé, Adam Shulman, though, and the duo were spotted showing PDA in Manhattan just last week.
Blake Lively was back as Serena van der Woodsen to work on the upcoming sixth and final season of Gossip Girl recently. A production team shared a series of behind-the-scenes pictures from the set, showing Blake done up as her Upper East Side character along with her costars Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and Ed Westwick. Leighton was also looking fancy as Blair Waldorf, while the guys donned suits. The show will be back on the CW network later this year, on Monday, Oct. 8. It will be a shortened season and is expected to conclude before Christmas. It seems Blake was able to fit in some work between hangouts with her boyfriend, Ryan Reynolds. Blake Lively wore a bikini last week for some Fourth of July fun with her man, as well as her tight-knit family.
Dianna Agron led a pack of ready-for-Summer stars who attended Coach's Summer Party on the High Line in NYC yesterday. Maggie Gyllenhaal also stepped out to check out the scene, as did Anna Kendrick, Kate Mara, Jessica Stam, Benjamin Walker, and more. Many of the ladies made the rounds carrying pieces from Coach's new Legacy Collection. Anna is hanging out in NYC after a clip from her new movie dropped this week.
