I believe this is a private thing that should not be shared. I was at a bar/bistro the other night and this women whipped it out with absolutely no attempt to cover her self. It made me uncomfortable.

I breast feed in public.. there is nothing to hide... and it is natural. That being said I do cover up, and try too not draw attention to what I am doing. It should be a private moment between a mother and her child

I think it's a beautiful photo, but don't understand the need to share. My viewpoint comes more from the standpoint that I think celebrities need to keep their kids out of the spotlight as much as possible.

If couples can stick their tongues down each others' throats in public, guys can wear jeans so tight you can see the outline of their junk in public, and girls can wear tops so low you can see nearly all their boobs in public (let alone the female celebrities who flash their vajays in public), then I say breastfeeding in public is the least of our concerns.

i think some of you are so motherhood/self absorbed you have lost touch with reality.. many of you have compared breast feeding to women wearing a low cut shirt, and while both are offensive they are both inappropriate in certain locations.. gem, when you're at a restaurant that is primarily business men and women on a lunch break or having meetings, it's not the place to breastfeed.. sit in a car or go to the restroom, just don't sit at a table and basically send a message to the world that everyone else can shove it b/c it's "natural", etc. same goes for a cover of a magazine, it has nothing to do with whether or not angelina is beautiful, and i don't hate her, i simply don't think it's appropriate which is what was asked in the poll.. it surprises me how some people are so clueless to how the rest of the world thinks.. having a child and breastfeeding are both intimate beautiful things, intimate is the key word though, not everyone needs to watch it occur.

I'm still reading the comments here. How can people say things like "ewwww" and "they moved tables because they were uncomfortable"? If a woman was sitting by them with her cleavage showing would they have moved or said the same thing? Breasts have become symbolic of a sexual nature, not for what nature intended. This has become an incredulous issue. And the fact that Angelina Jolie is drop-dead gorgeous is another issue. Leave the woman alone. How many of you have your real pics up here? Those that "hate" her, ask yourself why. I think she is gorgeous. And yes, my pic is me.

If you didn't tell me I would not have known Angie was breast feeding,but I see nothing wrong with it I breast fed all my children its a natural thing to keep covered and i did it in public to. Its the healthiest for the babies I see nothing wrong with it b/c Angie is covered not to see all....

Breastfeeding is natural. It's healthier for the infants. Angelina is a natural for promoting this to new mothers now, especially since she is breastfeeding twins. As a former La Leche Leader, (International Breastfeeding Organization), I applaud all moms that breastfeed. It gives a baby a healthy start to childhood-mentally, emotionally and physically.

.....And another thing. When some stars put on a bathing suit or gowns at a function you see wayyyy more than what you see in this picture. Look at how Selma Hayek looked in that red dress the other day-that was far more exposing than this picture. Jessica Simpson's breast hangs out in most of her dresses all the time. Yet that don't get complaints but you would get complaints about this?

Very tasteful. People breastfeed around kids all the time. I don't pull nothing sexual from her breastfeeding. This is a beautiful picture of a very natural act of feeding a child. This is far better than seeing females half-necked on the cover.

The whole discussion about breastfeeding/ breastfeeding in public is silly. I breastfed my son whenever the need arose, regardless of where we were.. there are discreet ways to do this without exposing your breasts to the public. Having said that why have breasts been so sexualised that their most natural function has become taboo? All the comments about how disgusting breastfeeding is shocks me. It is the most beautiful , natural way to bond with your child. I believe this to be strictly an American issue.. I think people are alot less prudish about, revolted by, breastfeeding in other cultures. As for Angelina and Brad, it does seem as though they feed into this INSATIABLE desire that the public has for every aspect of their lives.. Almost as though THEY thrive on it!

not a fan of this.. at all.. i don't see the point, well.. actually i do, they knew this would cause a reaction, how could it not? sure it's "beautiful" whatever, i just don't feel it's appropriate to be so public with it, not everyone wants to see a mother breastfeeding.. a couple of weeks ago, i was at a business lunch and we glanced over and a woman was doing it while at her table. it made the people i was with very uncomfortable and we moved tables.. people can do whatever they want, but respect the rest of society who would prefer to not see or hear about it.
