The body of a boy matching the description of Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old missing nephew was found in her deceased brother's SUV this morning. Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were fatally shot in Chicago on Friday, and Jennifer had offered a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her nephew. — AP

It's been confirmed on CNN that the body is that of Julian King, the 7 year old nephew of Jennifer Hudson. Let me say the following that I said on another blog... First of all, I also offer my sincere condolences to Jennifer Hudson & her family that such a horrible tragedy happened to them; losing those we love os never easy. But there is a great difference between losing someone to illness or accident & murder or suicide… But I find myself truly shocked at most of the responses I’ve read here & on other blogs… DON’T ANY OF YOU READ/WATCH THE NEWS!? Domestic violence happens far too often in this world every day. It hits ALL walks of life REGARDLESS of race, religion, nationality, gender & sexual preference, age, etc. - The stories I’ve read have been horrible, sickening… All because one person deems the other expendable for daring to be independent & leave their “owner”. In a lot of cases, the perpetrating kills their loved one (wife/lover), & then themselves. In rarer cases, the abuser kills family members in order to have their “target” live the rest of their lives grieving the loss for the rest of their lives. Case in point: a husband, angered that his wife divorced him, took their 3 kids & shot them in front of her before taking his own life. When the bodies were found so was the note: “It’s her fault; SHE made me DO IT!” Again, my sincere condolences to the Hudson family for a tragedy NO ONE should EVER have to go through.

The Jennifer Hudson story is just heartbreaking. She seems like such a nice, down to earth girl who is incredibly talented, and what has happened to her is just so sad. I hope justice will be served.

The worse is that NO ONE in that neighborhood calls the police anymore when they hear shootings, so yeah sadly the community is giving back...to criminals.

Wow. I was really hoping they'd find her nephew alive. I can't believe that this monster did this to their family. That's just awful. TMZ just reported that the body has been confirmed as his. It makes me sick to my stomach. =(

I don't even know what to say. This is awful. I got tears in my eyes earlier when I saw on the news that they found the little boy dead. I was hoping they'd find him alive. Its horrible enough that they killed Jen's mom and brother, but why the fuck would anyone harm a little 7 year old? This is just cruel.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I was praying he would be returned safely. Let's continue to pray for her and her sister. That's a gut wrenching thing to happen.

i saw this on CNN earlier that the body was found and they were waiting to confirm it. that's kind of scary and sooo horrible for the entire family. i hope that jennifer is doing ok. i'm surprised that HSM did so well, but then again, maybe i'm not overly shocked. there's a big following, although i know that my demographic group isn't overly interested. CONGRATS to dave - that's great news! poor Amy - she has been keeping pretty low key lately and now she's ill again. that has to suck! Bono is always getting involved in things like this - i think that it's nice that he's soo well involved in the charity CONGRATS to Amy and her family - i hope that she's resting up!
