Ben Heads Home and Violets Learns About Winter Break

After debuting his documentary in NYC on Wednesday, Ben Affleck was back with his girls, picking up Violet from school in LA yesterday. Seems like Ben should keep the world traveling to a minimum for the time being with Jennifer looking like she's about to pop any week now. It's almost time for holiday break from preschool for Violet, who will soon learn the fun of school vacation — lucky girl.

Stop it with the on-going trashtalk about their marriage. I mean I'd be worried if Ben would be all smiles when paps are taking pics of his daughter and wife. It seems like people are just waiting them to break up, so that they could say, I said so. It's sad if people are so cynic that they can't believe that some couples are solid. And I don't know how is it in the States but where I come from the couples who have been together for several years and have kids doesn't really show affection in public, but that doesn't mean that they're unhappy.

Little K you obviously don't know much because Ben was smiling the very day before with his family. That is obviously a ridiculous thing for you to say (*never*). I saw when these pictures were taken on a video and it was literally 4 SECONDS of footage -- they were concentrating on entering their awaiting car which was parked just outside the door with of course paps swarming around it yelling. Violet was a blur, Ben was obviously shielding her. I felt sorry for them, and the other parents that go to that school. And by the way, that stalker was around since 2002 so now is the time she is finally really safe.

I never knew a few photos indicate the whole time the Afflecks were out, enough to prove Ben 100%! NEVER! smiles while out with his wife. And I wonder if you smile like a maniac when trying to get out of the door. Yeah, he really hates his wife. That's why they have been together for 4 years (at least?) and 2 children together

Well said everyone in regards to Ben not smiling! And as usual you're the voice of reason Jillness ;) Honestly, give this family a break, Ben is never happy when the paps are swarming around him, especially when he's with his girls. I think it must take an incredible amount of self-control not to deck the paps for hanging out at Violet's school day in and day out.

"but he's *never* smiling when he's with his wife"<b>Do you REALLY think that these 6 pictures truly document his facial expressions for the entire time that he is around his wife? </b> I mean, seriously! The pictures you are looking at are showing probably 30 seconds of his life when paparazzi are at his child's school. I think reading so much into it says more about the people commenting than it does about Ben and Jen. We have no idea what is going on in their marriage, just accept it and have a happy holiday. :)

i'm sure that jen would love to have him home more seeing as how she probably will have that baby really really soon. :) we are all really excited to find out what she's going to have (hoping it's a boy) :)

Paps should NOT hang around outside the their kids school. I would be pissed if someone hanging around outside my kids school taking pictures, wouldn't you?

Right, Ben may not be smiling because the paps surprised him...but he's *never* smiling when he's with his wife and yet, when on his travels, then the smile comes out. Nooo, I don't think he's a happy camper. And the fact that he is often doing his charitable work far from home, while Jen is almost due and even when that stalker thing happened -- he just wasn't around.

OK here asre two theories as to why Ben is not smiling.1.He and Jennifer Lopez are just waiting to get back together since he is so very miserable with his wife ( you can tell he has not been anywhere near her in years!) and Lopez is so miserable with her husband since he only does everything she wants all the time and has never given her any babies. So now they are going to get back together adn all of you can rot in Bennifer Hell forever.2. He is tired from being in the Congo, and then packing boxes for Operation Gratitude - which does pay some attention to service people away from home, and then going to the UN and talking to people in a position to help the suffering and save lives in the Congo and then he gets to finally go home to his wife and little girl WITHOUT the damn paps taking their pictures every blasted day at Violets school,Or is it just more interesting to you sad peopel to think there is trouble?

Seriously, guys. Stop with the nonsense. Ben is not smiling PROBABLY because there are paps in front of him taking pictures of what should remain a private time for him and his family. I if were in his place, I would not be happy too. So stop saying he and Jen are unhappy because 1) they're about to have a baby, and while I agree this is not an absolute argument, it's usually a happy time for a couple and 2) you know absolutely nothing about their private lives. When/if they get a divorce down the road, then please, be my guest and speculate about how unhappy they were. But not now.
