Jennifer Heads to DC While Ben Stays in the Town

Ben Affleck was joined by Rebecca Hall on Wednesday on the Boston set of The Town, while Jennifer Garner took a day off from park trips with her girls for a special trip to Washington DC. She was in the capitol as an ambassador for Save the Children, joining Representatives Hoyer and Nelson as they introduced a new education bill. Jennifer has opened up before about her passion for working with the kids' rights organization, and when she's East she often hops down to the capital to spread her philanthropic heart.

So sad to hear that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's marriage ended. Really thought it would last & was a much better & long-term match than his engagement with J.Lo. And if he wants to hook up with another woman, he'd better get someone close to his age, not Blake Lively, who's young enough to be his daughter.

Not saying that she does, but if I had kids as cute as theirs I would show them off too. I love seeing them out and about just like any other kids. I don't see why kids should be locked away just because their parents are celebs. Anyway, Jen keep up the good work and be there for your hubby and kids. Love your dress BTW.

I love the Garner-Afflecks and I think they are one of the best celebs families. Both parents are dedicated to keeping their private life drama free as well as tabloid free and yet manage to give of their time and efforts for worthy causes. Their children are very fortunate and will undoubtedly profit from all the work their parents do to keep them grounded and normal in this crazy world of the rich and famous. Best wishes to them and may they continue to blossom as a unit.

The mansion's in LA, and they're in Boston. A little common sense, please. But even if they did have a mansion, should she never let her kids out to interact with other human beings?

They have a new Mansion and you'd think they have enough room in their huge Private back yard to run around. If I were a celeb I would definitely have my kids play in their own private playground and not parade them around town to get photogs to snap pics at them all the time. I agree with Anonymous #2!!

I don't think taking your kids to the park qualifies for parading them around for the paps but that's just me. Maybe she needs to live in a bubble and never come out with her kids. Anyway they both look good here.

i love that jen does all this great charity support - it's nice to see that celebs really enjoy using their fame for good. (and ben looks nice in those pics too :) just had to add that one)
