Channing Tatum Promotes Peace and Funky Footwear in LA

Channing Tatum headed out of a meeting in LA yesterday, throwing up a peace sign for photographers while sporting an unusual pair of sneakers. He's in California after an extended stay in Scotland, where he filmed Eagle of the Ninth alongside costar Jamie Bell. His next project to hit the big screen, though, is the Nicholas Sparks adaptation Dear John — make sure to check out a sneak peek of the movie sure to tug on your heartstrings. The film looks like it'll feature some good shirtless Channing scenes, but in the meantime we'll have to get our fill of his impressive six-pack with a look back at his past.

@ mslewis - that's a step too far, get it Step Up anyway.... Channing Tatum was gr8 in GI Joe and because of him the film was a HIT. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of talented performances in the movie for what it was but he helped a lot to make it a HIT especially with the promoting. Duke is one of the best selling toys from the GI Joe collection and not just for kids so I'm told (I would like the real thing myself). Because, I loved the cartoons/comics I understood from the start that the movie was going to be mac cheese and all the performances lived up to that. Hey, they didn't take themselves too seriously at all including Channing Tatum, that's the POINT. WORST actor in THAT movie do me a favour PLEASE and the fact that you linked Marlon Wayans with an Oscar even as a joke (actually one day he might just surprise us and win one but for now not taking you seriously) makes your comments funny to a point. I bet Channing Tatum wins an Oscar first and NO not joking. I think you need to watch Stop Loss, A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, Step Up NOW a franchise because of him, Fighting a different angle from the normal fighting movies i.e. more of a story limited but better than most but Fight Club does rule though anyway, maybe GI Joe again (with a sense of humour), and seriously check out Dear John when it comes out on 5th Feb 2010 the buzz alone tells me it's a winner especially because of his acting (he does look MIGHTY FINE THOUGH) and Eagle of the Ninth too. Anyway, I do appreciate your comments but I felt you went a step down and that guy is always going to be Step Up in his acting because he is growing as is every other actor on the planet; they ALL make mistakes in movies and there ALL come back hopefully, stronger and better. GI Joe is a popcorn movie anyone who took any of the acting seriously needs to RESEARCH the history of GI Joe AND CHILL. Channing Tatum keep doing your THING and don't look back.....HIS FUTURE IS BRIGHT (WAIT AND SEE). I ALWAYS BACK WINNERS.....

I saw the previous for his Dear John movie and I can't wait to see it, I actually think it's going to be good. He is way handsome though, regardless.

The other night I watched GI Joe on DVD and I have to say Channing Tatum is the WORSE actor I've been subjected to in a very long time. He made that Wayans brother co-star look like an Oscar contender!!!Now, it could have been the movie itself that caused him to be so awful because if he's that bad in future films, I don't think I could take it. A great looking face and body can take you only so far, Channing. Learn to act!!
