i can't believe that they are only now starting to film the movie. they should have filmed them back to back like they did lord of the rings cause now the stars are SOO much older than they were in the beginning...like 10 years ago.

I'm excited about the new film. We're big Harry Potter fans.

I actually think it all works out age-wise. The kids age in the books so for this movie, they are playing 17 yr olds. Given that 24 year olds are playing the high school kids on Gossip Girl, I think it works just fine for Emma, Dan and Rupert to be playing these parts at 19 - 20 years old. Plus, the stretched out schedule has allowed them all to pursue other roles which I think has really helped them grow as actors, esp Dan.

not just for having a chance to do other things but because the fact that they age with the characters is more realistic....
having love story lines when they still look about 10 years old wouldn't be right.

I've never understood why people thought they look too old. How old are they supposed to be in the last books? 17 or 18? High school senior-aged? This is how old a kid of that age looks! It's always seemed weird to me.

I'm excited for this, it looks great!! I have to admit though I much prefer Twilight, but back in the day I was a total Potter fan. I guess I just never liked the movies as much as I liked the books. Whatever, besides Helena Bonham Carter is going to rock it!
