David Beckham was having fun running around at practice in Seville, Spain, earlier today with his teammates. Beckham recently opened up about what playing for Milan has meant for him: "Going to Milan has been one of best things that has ever happened to me . . . Even though I’ve had a touch of flu over the past few days I’m still feeling better physically than I have done for ages. The club has put me on a programme that has definitely made a difference." The Galaxy is demanding more money from Milan in his transfer negotiations, but in the meantime, the smile says Beckham is still enjoying his career rejuvenation.

Probably just getting out of LA. I like him more now than ever.
1he smiles more now..
2Used to admire him but he's an ingrate. Hope Posh stays here while he fades in Milan.
3Remember LA Galaxy didn't give him his career, it is where he went for his career to die. Football (Soccer) is much bigger in Europe and Beckham really needs other players who are good around him, to support him in his famous kick (bend it like Beckham) and he just didn't have that in the US. I can understand why he is much happier there, although I was hoping he would bring soccer into the spotlight in the U.S.
4I don't like him but he haven't say or done anything to label him as ingrate. And, although I believe those old rumors about him cheating on Posh were true, I doubt they'll ever separate.
5I don't think he's been ungrateful either. It's like basketball: what is the best, most famous and prestigious league for any player? The NBA. Just like European leagues -- especially Italian, English, Spanish and German ones -- are for soccer players.
I even think that playing for LA Galaxy was a really bad move in the first place, but maybe that was his wife's idea.

7Well that's the rumour in England.
i think that this just goes to show that as much as the USA wants to make soccer a major sport, there are things that they aren't quite measuring up to. i feel like it's partly in the training and environment that makes Becks want to change teams, and he really does seem happier now. i hope that it all works out for everyone.
8sport is a short lived career, for anyone in his position he wants to be where he thinks will strech his ability as like any other athlete, its not disrespect to anyone its just his job....he didn't play to become a celeb he was just picked for his talent and he wants to play for the love of it. America have tons more sports than most countries i just think that football is not as favored as it is in other countries.
9I'm watching the game tonight!
10hills, I don't think America has "tons more sports" than most countries. I mean, it's not as if football/soccer is the only sport we have over here in Europe, it's just that it's by far the most popular one. For example, most people in the US have probably never heard of (team) handball, but it's huge in many European countries.
11madchen if u look back i never stated this was our only sport lol... and what i mean by they have tons more sports....America is a huge coutry with lots of different cultures which bring loads of different sports amoungst other stuff to the table....not a big deal and btw i didnt specify europe, i could mean England, Scotland and Wales as in Britain....were much smaller...
12"madchen if u look back i never stated this was our only sport lol"
I never said you did.
I get what you're saying, but I still don't think they do have "tons more sports". For example, there are quite a few sports that are popular in the UK and Ireland that are not really played in the US (e.g. Cricket and Gaelic football). Even most small countries have popular sports that aren't really played anywhere else, Glíma in Iceland and Schwingen and Hornussen in Switzerland come to mind.
13I think, in the end, it's pretty much even really.
I am too xosofiaxo. Hope England wins
