David Beckham returned to the field in LA last night for his first home game since returning to the Galaxy. Posh and the boys all came out to cheer on dad, and Tom Cruise joined in the fun for his friend. The team faced off against AC Milan and before the game Becks said he was looking forward to playing opposite his former team who's already said they would welcome him back. David had an assist, but the mood was soured a bit by booing fans and angry signs. No matter what's going on with his soccer drama, most of you love David anyway even if his Galaxy fans are still holding a grudge.
To see more photos of the Beckhams including Posh shopping at Saks on Friday just read more.
even posh's kids are put on a diet (coke), lol
1that's interesting that the galaxy played AC Milan - i didn't realize that it was an option. anyway, it's nice that the whole family was able to go out there and support him and honestly the fans really need to give it a rest. it's so dumb by now. just let your grudges go and let him play.
2Great to see Becks getting some Tom lovin
3I love Posh and Becks but he *did* dis the L.A. team and now I guess this is payback. Hopefully, the sentiment will cheer up.
4Of course Tom Cruise had to be there...
5The match was a pre-season friendly for Milan and it was arranged as part of Beckham's loan extention.
It had the largest ever attendance for a Galaxy match. I guess people just wanted to see the spectacle or maybe just be there to boo him. Overall it was an entertaining match.
6lol, I am sooo against children drinking soda, diet or not...
7That was a pretty entertaining match. I get that the galaxy fans feel insulted about him dumping the team but I hope they at least see that while winning the MLS Cup will be awesome, getting a chance to play for one's country in the World Cup is slightly more important.
8"booing fans"--this morning's oxymoron!
9I agree! The fans either need to get over their grudge, or just not go to the games. Why bring the whole team down? If you don't support Becks, then I guess you don't support the Galaxy.
10I guess Posh loves her diet coke
11Diet coke for young children? Wow. Hopefully she never has a daughter, because she'll only allow her to eat small amounts of fish, veggies, and diet coke.
12I hope nobody minds this bit of self-advertisement... I've decided to revive my "Hot Soccer Players" poll series on teamsugar, so if anyone's interested:

What's wrong with Diet Coke? I think it tates better than the normal one, but that's just me
Anyway, the Galaxy fans really need to get over this non-sense "grudge", they're just being really stupid.
14I always prefer the diet version. But my favorite has always been Pepsi.
About giving diet soda to her kids, I don't find it that bad. The best drink to give them would have been fresh juice, but you know kids will always ask for some junk food, why not give them the best (or not so bad) version of it?
15Let him play upto November and he will be off again. He thinks he can trick the fans like that isn't he? fake style.
16Actually, the best drink to give kids is not fresh juice, but milk.
17I drink Diet Coke - and even though I don't want my daughters drinking ANY pop right now, I'll sometimes allow them to take a sip or two.
I wouldn't get her a whole can, though.
18Actually, the best drink to give kids is not fresh juice, but milk.
Not really, Anonymous...the best drink would be good old water. But if you think of nourishing, healthy drinks, kids really need the vitamins and minerals found in fresh fruit's juices. Just like the vitamins, minerals and calcium present in milk.
19LOVE POSH
20I think the fans are completely justified to be ticked off at him. People spent a lot of money on season tickets, Becks jerseys and all the other expensive promotional swag that helped pay his ridiculously high salary, and he hasn't been there much.
21I agree jaan_black. But I feel if I had made that comment I would have been jumped all over and told to mind my own business. Aspartame is not good for little kids. But they aren't my children so I don't give a damn.
22awwww so good to see the Beckhams and Cruises unite for David and the love of the game...seriously if some are so upset over this Becks is doing something good in the USA and hopefully stir real passion for soccer
23USA is so bad with soccer and hockey and I want them to get better.
I admire the Beckhams a lot and so good to see his close friends like Tom always supportive of them. Too bad Suri and Katie are in Australia. Win or lose David is a winner to me. He has class than those juveniles.
24You know that this is exactly what he came here for, right? Keep the league and himself in the limelight (good or bad). If he can still play with the best teams in the world, wth not. The Galaxy fans need to get a grip and think about what they would do in his soccer shoes.
25Oh no!!! Soda to the kiddies!! Be real, they probably walked into those VIP boxes and the kids ran to the treats and sweets. I'm no mom, but one has to pick their battles.
26The Beckhams and Cruises are all winners to me. Nah these few nuts are the losers especially behaving badly in public.Nothing to gain in that.
I let my little nieces and nephews take little sips of my sodas.I see no damage done on them.
27It must have been hard for his sons to see that.
28david come back to the premier league thats is where real football is
29leave that joke of a league they dont understand its FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER
Naaa premier league is for foriegn players and coaches.
Only hoologans are brits.
