Heidi and Spencer Speak Out About Prop 8 in Their Own Way

Spencer Pratt had lunch with his sister as they filmed a scene for The Hills yesterday before meeting up with Heidi Montag for dinner and a photo op in LA. During the election, the couple were outwardly pro McCain/Palin, but they recently talked about Proposition 8 and Heidi revealed she's "very for equal rights." Spencer said, "Like I've always said: Heidi's hair and makeup people are some of my favorite homosexuals on the planet, and if they want to marry each other, I'm not about to be like, 'Don't.'" Leave it to Spencer to have an answer like that, but at least they're among the celebrities speaking out about this controversial issue.

people are so passionate about this now and i don't understand the big deal. i would have voted against it, but now that the people have spoken... can we move onto something more crucial such as the fact that childrens lives (in many ways and places) & the environment are endangered. and i dont know what protesting is going to do either, since there was a huge voter turn out and people chose to vote for the ban. by the way, on the property rights issue, couldn't a gay couple have joint ownership of their property/ bank accounts and not worry about a distant cousin trying to take ownership of their stuff...in many countries gay marriage does not exist but in the us, people could easily go to another state or canada to get married... and what exactly is protesting going to do? and shouldn't religious organizations right to say yes or no be protected? it is ludicrous that we protect 'freedom of religion' and let the pseudo-mormons in their creepy compound brainwash their children and shield them from the media, but can't let a church decide who may marry in it, and that is what made many people vote for it (according to elisabeth on the view) the funny thing is that churches make money from marriages, so even if some are allowed to say no, others will do it without a doubt.

It's not a controversial issue. Would arguing with a child be called a controversy? Because that's what's going on here, a bunch of hate-filled, backwater, backwards thinking bigots condemning gay marriage because they HATE gay people--and that IS not and SHOULD not be allowed. The "sanctity of marriage" is the most bull crap excuse since the twinkie defense, however everyone's rallying around it because it involves religion and we (allegedly and ironically) want to free our country of religious persecution...even if it means persecuting a major portion of our nation's population. It's not a controversy when one side is clearly right and the other side is just stubborn and selfish and completely uninformed. We might as well be arguing about math equations, the answer is CLEAR!
