I'm glad to see these photos. I needed something to erase the bad taste the ones of Katie Holmes left behind.

At least Jen Garner is proof there can be relatively normal parents and families in Hollywood... where little children are dressed in weather-appropriate cute colorful clothing made for comfortable play and moms actually look happy and relaxed to spend time having fun at the park (without a bored perma-scowl and a Blackberry glued to their hand, or a cupcake shoved in the kid's mouth).

So funny to think Jen Garner was one of Tom Cruise's first choices for a photo-op wife, long before Katie on the list. LOL. Thankfully Jen was smart enough to run the other way!

Lol, I couldn't agree more Anonymous #2 - it is so refreshing to see and honestly, she seems more normal than most regular moms I see around, let alone Hollywood ones.

Jen is so pretty, but she really has no style. And I am not talking about the casual playground wear. That "sophisticated" outfit on the right is dreadful. Ill-fitting turtle-neck, awful boots and boring skirt. The girl has an amazing body, I don't know why she doesn't make any effort at all to show it off. On the other hand, it's kind of refreshing to see a celebrity that doesn't put her looks ahead of everything else.

Grey is her color because it's as boring as she is. Her movies all bomb and she uses her kids and her connection to Ben Affleck to stay famous. It amazes me how more famous actresses are able to keep their children out of paparazzi camera range most days but jennifer garner never seems to be able to or want to.

Apart from not being married to a crazy controlling scientologist Jennifer Garner is a lot like Katie Holmes. Both are small town girls who were desperate to make in Hollywood any way they could. They are both TV actresses who climbed up the Hollywood ladder the only way they could by marrying A list movie stars. They are both always pictured with their children more so than other actress. Yes Suri does not always wear weather appropriate clothing but you didn’t see her sucking on a pacifier, wearing a diaper and being pushed around in a stroller at the age of 3.5 like you did with Violet.

Suri still wears a diaper, is carried most of the time AND still drinks from an INFANT NURSER baby bottle. It's all well documented in paparazzi photos--some as recent as last week.

I like this family but I don't want to see their pictures too much especially when there's nothing special to see about. It's like I have to see my neighbor taking her kids to school. What's the point of wasting time to watch them doing that same normal stuffs over and over again?
BTW, for those who think Jen was really Tom Cruise's first choice are stupid. Tom's 3 wives (and his girlfriend Penelope) were all single when he married them. Tom really has a type so why he changed his type this time to marry someone who is too common like Jen??? People only change their type for once for someone extremely special.
Anyway, Ben is perfect for Jen and Katie is perfect for Tom. Thanks God thing didn't happen the other way around otherwise the divorce rate in US would be higher...

And their single or not status matters because...? LOL. I'm not finding any point whatsoever to that statement in relation to any discussion on this thread.

Of course we all KNOW that Tom Cruise was married to Mimi Rogers when he moved on to Nicole Kidman and then married to Nicole when he moved on to Penelope. The stories were reported in tons of gossip sites when he was sending weird gifts to Jennifer Garner on set and calling her up in the middle of the night to try to get her to go out with him. (BTW this was when she had just started seeing Ben Affleck but before the public/media/press got ahold of their relationship so Tom didn't know). And then Scarlett J confirmed the rumors that she was Tom's next "quest" when he took her to the celebrity Scieno center and asked her to dinner. Then it was Jessica Alba. Katie Holmes was pretty far down the list...LOL

Tom was actually shoping for a young impressional girl that he could mold into the next Mrs. Cruise and in fact did make a play for Jen Garner. Good for her she has never been attracted to short guys (well known fact). Even if she had not been quietly dating Ben Affleck, there is no way she would have hooked up with Cruise. ScarJo and Jessica Alba were also approached. These ladies were also not interested. Poor Katie took the bait.

Jen was not trying to make it Hollywood when she married Affleck. She had already won a Golden Globe and Screen Actor Guild award and her career had really taken. She lost a lot of fans when she married men and after she had her first child, she chose to take time off and be with her baby. She only just recently returned to work and still only picks roles that don't take her away from her kids for long periods and she and her husband arrange their work schedules so that one of them is always with the children.

Jen as never been a hollywood fame seeker. She enjoys acting and for the pleasure it brings. I know this because I have been an avid fan forever. I have read every interview and seen most all of her TV and press conference appearances.

By the same token, I would never profess to know Katie's reasons for marrying Tom other than that she fell in love with him. So I respectively request #7 that you refrain from making up stories and comparing Jennifer to Katie. There are not the same person. Thank you.

Even though it was widely reported that Tom Cruise approached Jen, she herself has never confirmed or denied that it happened. I don't want anyone to think that is the case.

I might as well say what I came here to say. I adore Jen and her family and agree that the paps should respect their privacy at least some of the time.

i'm sorry, but Ben Affleck is not an A-list actor and hasn't been since the Good Will Hunting days. I think she married Ben b/c they actually loved each other. They make a great couple and seem to be well suited for each other.

Jen has no sense of style... that's why she hires Rachel Zoe.....BUT i still like her. she's a normal, hands-on mom w/ 2 happy and adorable little girls.

The only reason she's still in the public eye is cause of her marriage status. She would have already faded away after her Alias Show. Not a good actress at all! This poor girl needs a stylist. She doesn't even look happy.

If she doesn't look happy is more due to the fact that she has no privacy when she is alone or even with her children.

Most casting agents are only not aware of her marital status and/or have no idea who she is married to. And lets face it her husband, despite having won an academy award is not not respected in Hollywood since his Bennifer days.

#16 you come off stupid when you call other people stupid or else you are just a diehard drink the jen garner kool aid. you obviously know nothing about hollywood. i worked in hollywood for a bit and nothing is at it seems. if you don't think jen garner was attracted to ben for his millions, connections to alisters and fame, you are very naive. i wouldn't be surprised if these guys are separated but stay together for the kids and the convenience. it's their life. do i think ben will stay with jen g forever? I doubt it. she has more to lose than he does. she's his 1st wife, he's her 2nd husband - she doesn't want to lose him.
