Johnny Depp was back to work on the set of The Rum Diary in Puerto Rico yesterday, this time cruising around in an old fashioned taxi instead of a classic car. As usual he had plenty of admirers waiting to get a glimpse of the star, but Johnny's fans don't have to wait for the film to get a taste of his work. His episode of SpongeBob SquarePants will air April 17th and you can check out a sneak peek after the jump. Seems like a lighthearted imitation of Matthew McConaughey, though having Johnny's voice behind the character is still a compliment.
To see more of Johnny on the set, plus the clip just read more.
i think that's hysterical that he's going to do an episode of the show - but i guess he's such a big name and has such a recognizable voice that it'll do well for the show!
1I just wonder how they got him to do it...I was babysitting when I heard the news and I totally screamed with pure joy. I am sooooo excited to see it. Yes I watch Spongebob...even when I am not babysitting...but thats the only cartoon I watch...when am I like stone bored and need a little pick me up.

4LOVE him!
I find Sponge Bob disturbing. Johnny Depp has always been one of my favorite actors. I won't let this (insert whatever) cloud my long running
for his work.
