Katie Holmes Has Extra Special Hair Accessories
Katie Holmes sported some colored beads in her hair on the set of The Extra Man in NYC last night. While Katie is known to take a risk with her locks, she was quick to cover it up when she was done filming. The actress looks fresh-faced on the April cover of Glamour, which apparently isn't making one fellow actress too happy. Lindsay Lohan was supposedly under the impression that her photo as Madonna would be on the front and not just inside the magazine. For now it's Katie's time to shine despite any negative feelings from LL.

Um, okay. I realize it's for a movie role, but really? REALLY, Katie?
Having read the Glamour article, it was very interesting to see the quote that closed off the interview:
"Because if you're doing well, what can they say?"
The reason it is interesting is I remember when TomKat first popped up on the scene out of nowhere, and there was an interview with Katie asking how she handled the media frenzy. I distinctly remember she said something like:
"If people are talking about you, it means you're doing well."
I just thought that was a very interesting shift on her part.

2i adore her and i'm thrilled that she's got this movie to work on. i saw the trailers for it (i.e. the actual physical trailers on set) and i wish that i saw her.

4Katie looks worryingly unwell these days... I can't believe there's not more concern for her health. If the media had published a picture of her looking like she does now in her Joey Potter days people would have been shocked.

11The only reason Katie Holmes is anybody or anywhere these days is because of who her husband is. On her own without Cruise she would/should be at the same career/fame level as La Lohan. Actually she would be less famous now that I think about it. Some said that: Katie Holmes-Tom Cruise = Mandy Moore. And it's so true.
If not for Cruise when they did Creek retrospectives she'd probably be in the same "what happened to him/her?!" place as Van Der Beek. She is playing minor secondary characters of film/stage and the only reason we are hearing about it (and her) at all is because of Tom Cruise.
There should be more of a backlash--like the comments of Kate Moss (re: the Met Fashion Gala) and now this. As a woman in that business or entertainment industry I'd be aggravated. I was aghast that she got to present a Best Actor award--I can imagine what other hard-working and talented actresses like Anne Hathaway and Kate Winslet sitting in that audience must have thought.
