Katie Returns to LA With Suri, Without Long Hair

The gorgeous long hair Katie Holmes debuted last week in Japan wasn't there to stay, as she was back to her short 'do out to lunch in Beverly Hills with Suri on Sunday. We were loving her new look as much as you were, so maybe she just needed a trial before committing to growing it out. Both mom and daughter were wearing sandals for their California outing after bouncing around from NYC to Japan last week.

some of you are so harsh, that's how her legs are shaped and they look toned, shapely and great to me. seems people aren't used to seeing anything other than stick insect stems, i guess.

Katie and Suri are always huggable pictures. My hair now is as the same length with this two so I will be growing it together with them. Im growing mine in time for my best friend's wedding.

Okay, they must be growing out Suri's bangs. Obviously. BUT PUT SOME SLIPS TO GET THEM OUT OF HER FACE! If she continues to pull the clips out, you put them back in. And tell her, "If you do not leave the clip in, we will cut your bangs again." A child doesn't control you! (And yeah, I am a mom of a little girl ... and yes, I HAVE had to use that line on her. But guess what?? It works.) And I loved Katie's hair long. She just looks too ... old ... with short hair!! She looked young and happy with long hair. Oh well. Back to more important matters. :o)

those aren't cankles, more like thick legs and ankles to match....far from the tree stumps I've seen...good for her for not covering up lol...imo, her hair looked way better long but I have long hair and love it so that's here nor there...Suri looks like the type to whine a lot and throw tantrums - I don't know the kid or anything but I just get that feeling..good luck with that lol

i would think that with Katie doing a movie she couldnt change her hair for good untill she was done filming..maybe thats why she had extensions and then took them out!

i'm sure they are just trying to grow out suri's hair- that would make the most sense to me. as for katie's long hair - i hope that she goes back to long. it made her look much more youthful!

That's just not a flattering photo, but I agree Katie's legs were always her problem area. Poor Suri...I can't imagine what it must be like for a little girl to have strangers constantly rushing at her with cameras. I imagine her life will never resemble anything normal.
