Ive had nothing to drink but milk and water my entire pregnancy so far (7 LONG months without a iced coffee from McDonalds) and plan on sticking to that while nursing. Im overly anal about everything now. Then again, I dont have a 14month old to run around with like she does. Then id probably want a IV bag of caffeine hooked up too!

she could be drinking decaf.just because you like starbucks doesn't mean that you go for caffeine.

i don't know how she manages to do it all - jewelry, charities, babies and now a clothing line?

@ Budderflie: I drank a coffee every day after my first trimester and was fine. My incredibly healthy 7-month old suffered no ill effects from it, so drink it if you want it.
Although I do completely understand being super careful when you're pregnant and only doing what you're comfortable with - I was really paranoid about thinks like peanut butter (nut allergies), salami and blue cheese. That first bite after I gave birth was like heaven...

I know this is falling on death ears, but pops reality tv baby obsession is bordering on pathological!!

I adore Nicole - I love seeing how much she has matured and is branching out in her designing activities. Having Harlow was the best thing for her, IMO.

And BTW - she could be drinking decaf, for all anyone knows. I am a die-hard Sbux junkie and drank decaf lattes throughout my pregnancy.

Considering she's pregnant I doubt she's drinking caffinated coffee. I really like Nicole. It's amazing what a different person she is now.

Nicole is so amazing! Congrats to her and Joel! They are both great parents and I love seeing how they have matured especially Nicole.

I had caffeine while pregnant. There have been several studies saying that caffeine in moderation (200-300 mg/day) is fine during pregnancy (legit studies, one from Harvard Med School). My son is perfectly healthy. I actually have less now that I'm breastfeeding because my doctor said that it has more of an effect now than while I was pregnant.

I don't want anyone to be disappointed, but I did two caffeine free pregnancies and there is no medal at the end. I had a daily iced coffee (sometimes two! *GASP*) with my last baby.

The key to everything is moderation and yes there are other options at starbucks that don't have caffeine.

According to my doctor and OB (and my pregnancy books) you are allowed a certain amount of caffeine daily while pregnant. Be it soda, tea, coffee, etc. I gave up my daily cup of coffee prior to my pregnancy because it caused me to have migraines. But, occasionally, I will have a coke or a small cup of coffee and I'm 8 months pregnant. Generally, if I go to Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks I get decaffeinated. It's like someone else mentioned - it's all about moderation when it comes to caffeine.

That aside, Harlow is adorable.
