Nicole and Joel Dip Their Toes Into the Green Pool

Nicole Richie got her hair and makeup all done up at the salon yesterday for good reason — she was on her way to the 18th Annual Environmental Media awards in LA. Joel escorted her to the event, which also brought out celebs like Rosario Dawson, Maria Bello, and Jaime King. The awards honor TV shows and film that spread environmental awareness, so apparently Nicole and Joel are going beyond their efforts towards helping children and focusing on saving our planet as well.

Geez Nicole seems to show up for EVERY event. I like her outfit though...I was looking through old pictures of her and she had terrible style a couple years ago (pre-Rachel Zoe).

Call me the odd man out, but Nicole Ritchie is just NOT pretty to me. Her face looks odd. Pointy even. It makes it look worse when she wears her hair close to her head. I find it funny that she used to go by caucasian...then a few yrs ago she went by African American..now according to her new Driver's License she goes by caucasian again as well as Harlow is listed as caucasian. How can someone change races so easily?

This is a serious question...I'm not being snarky. How does just showing up to an event help the cause? I really don't get how just putting on a pretty dress and doing your hair helps contribute?

i think nicole still looks good. i mean, it's natural for her to start shedding the pounds she gained during her pregnancy. i don't think we have to worry unless we start seeing her chest bones again...hope that never happens.

Yeah, I had really hoped Nicole wasn't going to go back to her rail-thin stages after she had Harlow. I think she looked good while pregnant and even right after.

nicole and joel have been making the rounds a lot this week - it's interesting to see that they are more comfortable taking time away from the baby to go out on the town.
