January Jones and Jon Hamm spent Monday night premiering the new season of Mad Men in LA, and they're both making the magazine rounds to promote the series before its return to TV on August 16. They sat down to chat all about their show, sharing some insight into their complicated but engaging characters. They said:

- Jon on his favorite scenes with January: "It’s always fun when we fight. I think January would agree with that."
- Jon on the difference between himself and Don: "Don is a character who can skew into something way more dark and menacing and mean."
- January on playing Betty: "A lot of what I do with Betty is in the eyes. A lot of the feelings are unspoken, so that’s kind of been fun to play with. . . Betty’s whole life is a façade. If she can’t keep up the pretense everything is perfect, she will crumble and die, I think."
January Jones is amazing as Betty, she really mostly acts through her eyes, they say it all. I need to get my hands on season 2 before season 3 premiers.
1season 2 is definitely worth catching up on...i didn't get into this show until a couple of months ago when my husband's co-worker lent us his season 1 dvds...we flew through them and quickly rented the second season to make sure we'd be ready for season 3...we must sound crazy, but we haven't found a show we both really appreciate in so long
2Love Mad Men!
