Jake Plays by Reese's Rules and With Her Kids

Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal and her two little blondies are still living the Parisian life. Yesterday, Jake was spotted out with Ava and Deacon before catching back up with his No. 1 girl and hoisting Ava onto his shoulders for the Bastille Day fireworks. Today it was Reese's turn to get to work in a glamorous red gown at a photo shoot with photographer Mario Testino. This couple seems to have the secret to making it work maybe thanks in part to all her house rules that keep these superstars and her adorable kids so pleasantly grounded.

Oh my God, she is far more worse of a control freak then I thought she ever was. I don't know how Jake can stand all of her friggin rules. Im sure that sooner or later he will be sick of them!

I think it's great that Reese laid down the law. When you take on a woman with Children, you need to fit into THEIR routine, not the other way around. If you can't, you shouldn't date her. Reese's kids need stability. Change for them at this age could be devastating, so by telling Jake up front, "These are the rules in our house, you need to live by them" was a very smart thing for her to do as a mother. Jake didn't have to accept them, he's got a thing called "Free will" so no, it doesn't make Reese sound controlling, it just makes her sound like a great Mom. And the rules she put in place, if you read the article, aren't terrible. It's things like "Take your shoes off in the house" and "Make sure everyone knows what your plans are". They have discussions around the dinner table etc. Wow, control freak this one.

well at least we see that reese is doing something for herself while she's over there. it's always one of my fears that half a couple will drop their life to be around the other person while they are working, and it's good to see that reese has a project while she's there too. it's very reassuring that they have boundaries for the family - it's something that i think they've always prided themselves on - from being with ryan to being with jake...it's a good thing and that's just going to be better for the kids when they get older. they won't be 'divas' and they will be better adjusted.

I hope that story about her giving him rules is made up. It's fine that she has rules for her children, but he is an adult. Anyway, it made her sound totally controlling and somewhat of a *itch. So, I hope it's not true.
