Sarah Michelle Gellar Steps Out Sans Baby Charlotte

Sarah Michelle Gellar stepped out with a friend in Santa Monica yesterday, though this time she didn't have baby Charlotte all bundled up in her arms — get her look here. SMG's on a break from work since The Wonderful Maladys didn't get picked up, while her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. is doing his thing on 24. Fans are excited to see the former teen movie heartthrob acting, though he was quick to shoot down the rumors of a spinoff. We'd love to see more of Sarah on the big screen or small, but for now the new mom looks perfectly happy without having to slip into character.

Well, Sarah gets paid residuals for Buffy. So anytime it reruns on tv, merchandise is sold (which it still does sell), etc. she's getting paid. She's actually been working pretty steadily since the show ended (although a lot of fans don't know that), but she does more independent film work now. That's why you don't hear about her films as much. Freddie was only on 24 for 1 season, but he also guest-starred on the 3rd episode of Psych this season as well. And, Sarah is a pretty smart girl. I have a feeling she's managed her/their money well.

I don't see them doing anything overly "lavish" -- they certainly have made millions with their movies and BtVS, and perhaps they just spend money wisely. I LOVE her outfit!!

Sarah has worked steadily since BtVS. Just because you don't see her movies/her movies get the crappy end of the deal, doesn't mean she hasn't been doing anything. 2009 was the only time she didn't film anything (except the pilot for Wonderful Maladys). Freddie also filmed a few movies and he spent some time working for the WWE. I'm sure they probably also invest etc.

@ amofoz and redchick I was wondering exactly the same. How can they maintain their wealthy standard of living without stable well-paid jobs? And now they have a daughter to take care of and grow up as well! Anyway, I love the Prinzes especially Sarah, and I really want to see her back on tv or theaters! I am wondering what she was doing at the Presbyterian Churuch on Wednesday. Arrangements for Charlotte's baptism?!

She is my favorite actress and I really wish she could catch a break career-wise. I'm living off the BtVS comics to get my Buffster fix. I am so desperate to find out why A is masquerading as Twilight and don't want to wait until April to find out:((

I like SMG so much. She always comes across as intelligent, opinionated, and down-to-earth. I also think she's deeply underrated as an actress, and I cannot figure out why she isn't cast in more films and shows. I miss Buffy as well, but the Season 8 comic book is satiating my nerdy needs.

i always wondered that too amofoz. freddie has only been on 24 for a couple seasons right? maybe they just handle their $$ well. neither has had anything big going on for awhile it seems. i wish her show got picked up. i miss SMG on tv (and buffy too)!! :(

I would guess that the Buffy residuals pay pretty well, and since the DVDs are still selling I would think she gets a cut of that as well . I miss Buffy! Love SMG!

i'm sad for SMG that her show didn't get picked up especially since we were following her shooting it while being preggo :( i hope that something else comes along for her
