Taylor Swift stepped out in NYC yesterday wearing all black and sporting a drastically different look than we're used to seeing on the country singing sweetheart. She traded in her signature waves for stick straight hair and blunt bangs for a photo shoot and kept the look for her night out. Taylor twittered about her dinner with Emma Stone and excited trip to the candy store together. Taylor has had a busy week in New York, including the star-studded VEVO party on Wednesday, where she wore a pretty beaded dress before her performance at Friday's Jingle Ball. We're still hoping to see her pop in on Taylor Lautner's SNL gig or at the very least see if he reciprocates the cute shoutout she sent him during her turn back in October.

5I'm guessing its a wig, and the only reason why is because if you have naturally curly hair you would know NEVER to get bangs that short, because they become super high maintenance

When she did her snl skit and her hair was out of her face I told my husband that I never realized how pretty she was because those curls are totally distracting. They don't look natural at all, and the worst part about them is the little flip in the front where they lay flat to her head, then are curled with an iron. Sorry to go on a rant, I have nothing against naturally curly hair, it can be beautiful, but I really hate how hers look regularly.

25I thought I read something on another site about her doing a photo shoot, so it could be a wig or it was styled like that for a photo. Either way, she looks great and I think she should wear her hair like this more often. The curling iron ringlets she always wear makes her look really young, this style makes her look more mature.
26This hair change is great. She looks her age when her hair is straight. The curls are cute but it's time to grow-up and this hair change does it. She looks beautiful.

I think it will take time to get use to it if she chooses to keep this hairstyle. It makes her face look longer but it doesn't look bad. But I perfer her curly hair.

32Ok to clear some stuff up...her hair is naturally curly...#1 if you watch "The best day" you see her at 2 and her hair is naturally curly, and in pictures/video where shes just in her house or doing whatever, her hair is naturally spiral curly. I have naturally spiral curly hair almost identical to hers and I'm telling you it is so much easier to work with your hair and let it be curly than to straighten it, and to just straighten the front is super easy, and keeps the tiny "bang" curls out of your face. So stop dissing her curly hair its awesome, and that's her natural look. For her to have someone straighten her hair like that I guarantee takes at least an hour...again I know because my hair is the same type of curls and length, so thats why she doesn't do it all the time, that and its really bad to constantly be straightening/curling your hair, too much heat damage, and the ends will get really really dry

45Hmm... I have the same hair texture as she does naturally and I've had bangs like that before - they worked out fine for me with not much effort. I think the style itself looks great but I prefer her with her natural curly hair more. Maybe I'm just biased since I have naturally curly/wavy hair, too and have always been told to "embrace the curls".

49I think she looks pretty here, but she also looks like everyone else. The curls set her apart from all the other barbies. I hope she doesn't start tanning too. That would just be tragic.
