OK, I don't normally comment, but those heels have brought me out of lurker mode. That is so wrong--why on earth expose a 3-year-old to the problems heels give to our feet? And I'm sorry, but it sorta sexualizes the kid. Let's put "Juicy" on her a*s too while we're at it. I can't get behind this...it's just gross. It's one thing to walk around the house with your mom's too-big heels on your feet as a kid--we all did--but this...just makes me squeamish.

Yeah the heel isn't big and I guess katie and tom can make decisions like this because they are her parents but I still find it disgusting, wouldn't you want your child to be a child as long as they possibly could be?
And I don't think its the same as wearing mommys heels at home, that's play, this is real life.

Let the kid be a kid. There's no need for a 3-year old to wear heels. Maybe for dress-ups at home, sure, but out and about? It's just asking for a twisted ankle.

there is a store at sun valley mall in concord that has shoes like this for little girls. i should see if they have a web site. was in a hurry the other day when i was there, but there were about 20 styles, very chic.

Many love this family. The world does not revolve around this site or gossip blogs. Popsugar is not accurate except the popularity of Twilight. Aniston,Kate Hudson,Orlando Bloom,Rachel McAdams,Johannsen,Megan Fox and many popular ones rule the various votes and polls but their movies bomb.

I think it should be considered child abuse to put your child in high heels. (I'm not ripping on Katie Holmes specifically, but anyone who would do that to their daughter.) Think of all the knee, back and posture problems heels cause for adults... what could they do to a growing body?? It's totally different to walk around the house in mom's high heels for 5 minutes and to spend a whole day walking around in a pair or heels specifically bought in a child's size. This makes me really angry.

it might just be one of those days when the kid wants to dress up, she's even toting her own bag. give them a break its not as if we've been seeing her in that kind of shoe for the longest time. as far as i remember she's always in flats anyway.

I've been spending the last few months to correct foot problems brought on by heredity, poor choices, etc. I will now forever be a slave to my orthotics and athletic footwear. So I hope this kid will not end up with any problem, starting out with ridiculously unnecessary footwear at that age!

Yes, maybe she wants to dress up. But as a mother of 5 year old, I would never ever let her wear heels. She can wear a fancy dress, carry a fancy bag. But heels - one big NO. My daughter has a cousin her age, and parents let her wear heel at home. So my girl begs me to do it too. And I'm still saying no. I think it's totally wrong for such a baby. It's bad for feet, for spine, and she can very easily twist her ankle, do they think of that?!

I don't agree with Suri wearing high heels at all. That is something I would never let my child do. Let her be a kid for as long as possible - she's got her whole adult life to wear high heels. Maybe it's a one-time thing, but I think it's still not a good idea.

Kids play dress up in heels all the time, if you have ever taken dance classes? yep heels....if you dont wear them all the time nothing bad is going to happen to you or Suri I promise, so put up your lawsuits and child abuse hotlines and get a life.

i know when i was little, i always wore my mom's old heels or plastic ones to play dress up in, but my mom wouldn't let me wear them out in public. just like my mom wouldn't let me wear make up until a certain age.

The only thing annoying me here is that they are running directly in downtown boston - the esplanade (along the river - a bike and running path/park)is only a few blocks from their hotel and where they are now) why don't they just go there. We always think its weird when regular people run through the city (too crowded) but when stars complain about lack of privacy - this is just odd. Its like they are saying: hello everyone! we are here!

Before spewing more venom, you guys should check out other celebrity sites. They have pictures of Suri wearing pink sneakers. Obviously Katie brought them along knowing the kid wont last in high heels. Give them a break.

A kid in high heels is ridiculous! Yes, for dress up it's ok, but not walking around on the town. Her feet will be seriously messed up. Let her be a kid for god's sake! I'm a pre school teacher and once a 3 yearold girl came to school in high heeled shoes, she couldn't play or run in them at all. I was just waiting for her to sprain her ancles.

It's like a kitten heel size. If you put dress shoes (the regular patent leather ones) on your daughters then there are the same height heels on them. These just might be a bit skinnier of a heel but not taller.

just as one Anon comment said... check other celeb sites.. they show Suri switching to pink sneakers. It's also unlikely for this kid to develop back problems from walking in her heels since I actually think she does not walk enough high heeled shoes or not! she's almost always being carried around ^_^
