Carey and Dakota Dress Up to Toast Michael Sheen

Dakota Fanning and Carey Mulligan sandwiched Michael Sheen last night at BAFTA's annual Britannia Awards in LA. His real-life leading lady, Rachel McAdams, wasn't able to attend, but mustached Michael still flashed a big smile with his British Artist of the Year statue. Dakota kept her high-fashion outfits coming in her nude Valentino — what do you make of her look? Carey, who was recently named the best-dressed star by Harper's Bazaar UK, wore a number from Preen, looking more polished than her low-key days shooting Drive with Ryan Gosling. She likewise flew solo without rumored boyfriend Tom Sturridge, but Carey had a different guy friend for company last weekend in NYC.

I love Carey's dress and her shoes but I don't think they should be worn together.
Dakota is getting stuck in a center part pale colored dress rut. She I think she's afraid of criticism for not dressing her age, and tries to keep it simple and age appropriate, but she's starting to bore me. I would love to see her in some color with her hair done differently. Carey looks awesome. She wears clothes effortlessly.
dakota's dress washes her out and the skirt of the dress is horrible. Carey's dress is classy but what's with the blue shoes??
