On the surface, I can see why people would compare AJ to ET. Both women were/are widely recognized for their beauty and relationships, and both were known as humanitarians in some capacity. But if you delve deeper you realize that where AJ relies so heavily on her PR and image Elizabeth never seemed to care. She went through all kinds of ups and downs without painting herself as any kind of saint or making sure to have photos of herself at every charity gathering. She also never pretended to not love the lavishness of her successes- the men, the food, the diamonds. She was a quintessential star but with a truly sensitive spirit and kind heart. I never got the impression, ever, that Liz was doing it for her image. She was real and her beauty was also completely hers- no fake anything. On the surface there can be likenesses, but other than that NO WAY.

I've always been a great fan of Elizabeth Taylor's---for her acting, her beauty and style, and especially her work for charity. I hope that she's at peace and at last reunited with both Richard Burton and Mike Todd.
