George Clooney Rises to the Shirtless Occasion in The American

Special Friday treat — shirtless George Clooney from the September issue of W! George might be out of the running in our Hottest Shirtless Guy contest, but he's still looking good in the magazine's photos shot on the Italian set of The American by director Anton Corbijn. George wrapped filming earlier this Summer, and since then he's been spending time enjoying the open road on his motorcycle and relaxing at his Lake Como estate with his outspoken girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis. George and Elisabetta will be heading back stateside soon, though, to appear at the Emmys next Sunday.

I agree Rosanne, Ive been a fan since ER when I was about 12. Ive sat all his rubbish movies (and some good ones). I thought he'd grow up like most of his fans, yet here is at nearly 50 having parading around a stupid go go dancing nude model who has used him to get acting work and magazine time in which she has told us all we are all jealous. Enough!!

Please retire - this movie looks terrible and his personal life is very odd. Who cares who he takes to the Emmys? You also said that Canalis would attend the Ischia film festival with George, and that didn't happen. Just because Canalis's publicity people told her to say she is going to the Emmys in every interview in an effort to pressure George into taking her does not mean he will take her. Canalis isn't going to the Emmys. If he takes anyone with him, it will be his father. Taking the fake, publicity, cokehead skank to the Emmys would doom both his career and his personal life. The year-long contract is over, so there is no reason for him to take her unless he is completely self-destructive or is being forced to take her.
