Jake Gyllenhaal ran across an LA street yesterday to avoid the rain while heading into a studio. The actor was out for an afternoon of work following another recent outing to record late last month. Between sessions, Jake jetted to NYC to support his sister Maggie at the opening of her new play, Three Sisters. His time in the Big Apple also afforded him a chance to catch up with old friends, as Jake was reportedly one of the guests at Jennifer Aniston's 42nd birthday dinner. The frequent flying will continue for Jake, who was recently named as one of the participants in the SXSW Film Festival's annual filmmaker panel along with Ellen Page, Rainn Wilson, and more.
