Johnny and Penelope Show Off Their Chemistry and Dance Moves!

Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz were on a boat in Hawaii to practice dancing scenes for Pirates of the Caribbean 4 yesterday. They were decked out in their own clothes, but on Wednesday, the pair wore their costumes to shoot a beachy scene. Johnny has been working on the movie for the last few weeks and has been spotted as his character, Captain Jack Sparrow, before. Penelope, though, has been able to break from the blockbuster to celebrate a big personal milestone — she and Javier Bardem snuck away to the Bahamas to tie the knot in a small ceremony.

I'm from Spain but I don't like Penelope Cruz (and undoubtedly she didn't deserve the oscar). I really doubt she fits in this film. I'm going to miss Keira and Orlando (although to me he was the most boring, at least as a character), but especially Keira. Even so, I think that their story was getting boring, too. To me, Captain Jack Sparrow is the heart and soul of the POTC series, it's essence. I LOVE the character, he's the main reason why I like these films so much. But I don't know if the fourth film is going to be as good as the previous... Maybe Penelope could be one of the reasons why the film could fail. I don't know, I just hope the fourth film won't end up tainting the previous.

Wow.. You really had a speach there, honey.. I don't know where to begin.. 1. Well, as you said; Different people like different actors. I prefer Depp, you prefer Bloom. So why the hell are you going outta line to defend yourself here? 2. Depp and his egocentric personage? What the fuck? "Hello. I would like you to meet Captain Jack Sparrow. He's a very egocentric person." Hello?! Have you seen the movies? That's Captain Jack! AND that's what makes him so funny! 3. The National Movie Award for the Best Performance by Male? Yeah....... We probably didn't noticed that because it's not the fuckin' Oscars, is it? Johnny was nominated for an Oscar. And he won a SAG. So... Yeah.. But hey! I bet Orlando is having a great time with his Teen Choice and MTV Movie Awards while Johnny is looking at his Golden Globe. 4. "Orlando and Keira brought many viewers to see the sequels" Sure they did! They have fans! It's not like EVERYBODY loves Captain Jack.. (Even though most people do..) Again; You don't have to defend them. As you said; We are different people. 5. Public Enemies was a fuckin' amazing movie. Who gives a shit about the cash? But since you asked us to think about.. I did. It made $117,000,000. That's a lot of cash, honey. Maybe not excacly as the producers were hoping for, but who cares when you have Depp, Bale and good reviews. 6. And the last thing; Maybe you should think about the last good thing Orlando did. Where is he..? He did New York, I love you.. A good movie, but that didn't make shit. Plus it didn't get the same good reviews as the "first" one, Paris, Je t'aime. Sympathy for the devil can be interesting.. He has Main Street coming out.. He's gonna be in The Three Musketeers.... Aaaanyway.. My favourite role with Orlando is still when he played himself in Extras. :D Cheers, love.. and sorry about the "honey" thing.. btw: Pirates 4 will make fuckin' millions! AND! Johnny Depp!!!!

@lizzieMNR from #16: you may want to check what the main story line is. In this case you also may find out that Sparrow is a comic relief character and a catalyst. And it's really funny when people speak that they know what "millions movie goers" think or say. LOL. You would be surprised how many people I know would tell you that the main focus of theirs were Will and Elizabeth characters and that didn't care about Depp and his egocentric personage. And that they are not interested in seeing the 4th because these characters are not in it. Your comment on Hallowen's costumes was quite amusing. I mean seriously? FYI: many people are dressing up on their weddings as Will and Elizabeth. Fact. So? Different people like different actors. You prefer Depp, I prefer Bloom. "Not noticed" in 3rd? - ROTFL. Check on those obsessive Depp's fans then. (like #2 here, f.i.) Their reaction is quite telling. BTW, Bloom was nominated for the role of Will Turner (POTC: At World's End) for the National Movie Award for the Best Performance by Male. You haven't notice, probably. As much as a criticism that came to the Depp performance. Doesn't matter. The point is that the most obsessive fans of Depp don't care about objectivity and they fanatically deny that the success of POTC is not his own input only. It was a big team work. Orlando and Keira brought many viewers to see the sequels. How convenient to forget that now, heh? Many of these viewers are not coming back to see the 4th. And, don't "honey" me, please. You don't know WHOSE "ticket" would make the movie to get "on the top 1." In case it will go that far. I highly doubt it. Though the genre is appealing and the success of the trilogy will draw the audience anyway. And the 4th would be parasitizing on everything that was done in the trilogy. BTW, how come that domestically The Public Enemies didn’t even make the money that were spent on making it when Depp (and Bale!) had the main role in it and it had such a huge promo around the world? You may want to think about it.

@ 16: I love Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly's characters in Pirate 1. But their stories was never the main focus of the film, there were very few random scenes between Keira and Orlando in Priate 2. To Pirate 3, Orlando's role went unnoticed. I bet millions of movie goers will laugh in your face when you said "that Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann were the main story and that the actors took the attention from Depp." People love Johnny's performance so much that many talk show hosts, TV hosts and fans dresses like Captain Jack character for their Halloween. That says it all. BTW, stay home. The movie doesn't need your ticket to get on the top 1.

#15: Johnny Depp has a big fan base with different ages of both genders. And his fans are definitely not the crazily obsessed 12 or 13 fangirls like Robert Patinson's. Everyone actor wears make-up in the movie, honey. At lease, his make-up is spectacular and suitable for his movie. Do you see Robert Patison's inartistic make-up in Twilight movies. Eww ew ew. He looked like a drag-queen with those red lips and white faces

@14: I know. I have admired him for years. Met him in London, he's a fantastic guy. I just want a part without the costumes and the makeup. That's why I'm looking forward to The Rum Diary (fuckin' great book) and The Tourist. Plus he did an amazing job narrating When you're strange. He can absolutely play different parts perfectly. Going from 21 Jump Street, to Edward S., The Brave, Benny & Joon, Blow, The man who cried, The Libertine, Sweeney Todd, Public Enemies etc.. He's amazing! Don't get me wrong. :)

I see that some of Depp's fans are still jealous about Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly. They just can't have peace because Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann were the main story and that the actors took the attention from Depp. Guess that's why they took Penelope Cruz - she won't take the attention much. LOL. I was Pirates fan but without Orlando and Keira there is no Pirates to me. I find Depp acting boring and I find no acting from Cruz. The movie is going to be low quality anyway. Only this time it won't have the actors who can keep me in a movie theatre. :(

"Chemistry?" You got to be kidding. Who wants that unwashed pirate covered in makeup all over? Maybe only Depp's fangirls. And Cruz just lacks the "chemistry" in general. So we have one more boring performance from Mr. Depp and usual parody of an acting from Cruz. Bleh.

#12: Johnny Depp is a great actor. He proves that he can play different role beautifully. So, it will not be a challenge at all for him to play different character. But yes, i agree with you, I don't like a long series, 4 is enough for this franchise. #13: it's so funny.

That's what I meant, Nine and MOAG wasn't very good, so I'm also kinda dreading this.. And I also hope that this will be the last. Stop the game while it's fun, you know... I love Captain Jack, but I think it's time for Johnny to do something else.. Challenging himself a little...

#6 : I really like Keira in Pirate 1 and 2. She was excellent in them. But you're right, the Keira's role in Pirate 3 got boring because the storyline about her character was not interesting and not good. I think, they now focus more on Captain Jack and his adventures. They may change the leading lady in every movie just like James Bond series.
