The action at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards wasn't limited to the onstage antics yesterday. The stars braved the windy afternoon to stop backstage during the show and check out the Elle green room lounge and official gifting suite. Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner shared a laugh and posed for pictures while Vanessa Hudgens chatted with Rosario Dawson at the LG Cinema 3D HDTV display. Vanessa was also spotted looking particularly friendly with her Journey 2 costar and The Kids Are All Right actor Josh Hutcherson. Longtime friends Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman both looked fantastic on the red carpet, and they held hands as they checked out the scene.
