Katie Holmes carried a bag of chocolates yesterday as she strolled Beverly Hills with a friend. The Elle cover girl is back home in California after visiting her husband Tom Cruise on the set of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol in Vancouver last week. She and Suri even engaged in a little retail therapy during the trip north, devoting their Sunday afternoon to shoe shopping. The ever-stylish mother and daughter have been frequent visitors to Canada since last Summer, when Katie shot her miniseries The Kennedys there. The finished product will not be broadcast in the US as of now, but it will air internationally. It might be a while before we catch a glimpse of Katie on TV again, though she and Tom shot down rumors that they're skipping the Oscars due to Anne Hathaway's SNL impression.
