Kristen Stewart is edgy as ever in her daring Chanel at tonight's Costume Institute Gala! She matched her simultaneously short and long sheer dress with black finger- and toenails, a black clutch, and some sky-high heels. She didn't crack a smile for the cameras, which only added to her rocker-chic feel — how's that for a lot of leg? Kristen is in NYC after spending last week in high-schooler Bella Swan mode filming the Eclipse reshoots, but back in real life Kristen is fashion-forward as ever. We just wish Robert could be here to see how hot she looks — weigh in on Kristen's sexy couture and all the night's other red carpet beauty and style!

OK I admit that it's not my favourite dress...We have seen her with better costumes.But the thing is...all of us try to be her just for one minute.If you receive a phone call from Channel maximum designer and he tells you that YOU've chosen to wear THE dress that's going to be talk about during an entire month....wouldn't you wear it???It's part of her job people, I love her rock style, but sometimes...even if she doesn't agree, she has to wear that kind of cloth.So stop criticizing because you would have done do the same.

BLECH. To me, there are adults who are comfortable in their skin, and then there are children, who maybe have a lot of sexual power, but don't know what to do with it yet. Sienna, Diane... these WOMEN know what they're wearing and how to wear it. They are comfortable with who they are. Kristen is not even close to that point in her life yet. She looks like a gawky teenager who doesn't even know how to stand up straight. Yikes.

What ever happenrd to the part of fashion that made young women look classy and dignified. Not trying to show everything GOD gave them.???? "Some " of the outfit she has worn were stunning! But then she goes for thede type of rags... Like the one that showed her Breasts (awhile back) Now this one that, if she bent over or actually stood up straight would ride up and show all else!!! That is one f*ck-ugly dress! Kristen has beautiful legs, but that dress isn't becoming on her at all! She usually looks awesome, but this look sucks! Sorry, hon!

Parsons: I agree with you esp. what you say about the back of this dress.: You can truly see the quality of the design looking at the BACK of the dress. It works best viewing all the way around-- 360 angle. Many people are judging based on all these front shots only---which is where many dresses even great designer ones--start and end.

I agree with the above comment. This was the costume gala, not boring wedding fahion party. So many of the women looked like they were headed to the chapel. J.Lo and Anne Hathaway wore Disney princess get ups that were just plain boring. Kristen Stewart was one of the few of the night who took a chance and it paid off. You would not believe how many people in my school, Parsons, are following every angle of that dress. Ms. Stewart definitely has the body to pull it off. Her curves fit the dress well, especially in the back. The gown is flawless when she is walking. I also loved her hair and makeup. It was 1920's mixed with modern day rocker chic. This outfit will be talked about for a long time and get the house of Chanel some younger fans. Now that Kristen Stewart is going high fashion, I may start watching the Twi promotion stuff. I also loved Coco, Gisele, and Jessica S.

I agree with #70. Listen, the dress is a child of some big shot designer's imagination. There is a big institution behind it. Called the House of Channel. The girl is smart, Oh, that circus of parading in dresses that she has to endure. I wouldn't be able to endure that crap. LOL Greetings!

I think that Kristen is a girl who's so not ashamed of herself... she's herself, and that dress shows who she is... and even if I honestly don't like it, I think it suits her because it shows that she's a sexy, anti-hollywood "code" young actress. And because of the fact that she's so not what people want her to be, but prefers to be who she really is, makes people LOVE her, like I do, or just Hate her. But I like the fact that she's true, and to me, that's all that counts. I think this dress i a kind of provocation and as read the comments it worked so well !!
