It's important to point out Natalie will most likely fulfill her expectancy and motherhood with as much grit, coherence and finesse that befits most future moms. This is her personal and unique way of dealing with the day-to-day celebrity life- without confrontation, bird-flipping and jet away tactics. She's taking good care of her child no matter how much coverage photographers are posting on hundred thousand other blog sites; the movies, "No Strings Attached" & "Black Swan" are completed, so why not she can put other projects on hold-clock in some R&R for the sake of bond with little Natalie before and after natural birth. No other evidence to the contrary exists-that I even care about, must be her first baby! Some of y'all doubting like they are hating-- on other blogs- they speculating Natalies been more times around the block? Where's your proof? She not going to clash with paprazzis; she will count nine months for herself. Also she's savvy enough to not engage the razzis for drama, not make more stress or be worried about unfinished production filming. Lady is focused on baby. So show her some love; that role character she played in 'Goya's Ghost' took the worst whipping this life could deal a person but to search for her baby in the movie was as real as it gets. Bravo, Natalie!

wow-- that's pretty cold if you're suggesting this isn't her first... if she did get preg before & carried the child I'm sure she would wish that to stay personal. there are plenty of reasons to show early from twins to retaining fluids to simply having more elastic skin and muscles than most. the uterus is a giant muscle and typically stretches very slowly with the first and faster with later pregnancies but everyone's got a different degree of muscle flexibility. I wish Portman all the happiness in the world & a beautiful little baby that will look just like her.

I don't think that "ready to pop" is derogatory either. I've heard lots of women use the term to describe themselves when they have a small frame and large belly like Natalie's (I work with pregnant women)! Every woman is different, so of course some may find offense with this term, but others, like me, find nothing wrong with it! Also, I am pregnant too and I find it hard to believe that Natalie is only in her 2nd trimester. Every woman is different though! I am 18 weeks right now and don't even look pregnant yet.

Portman always looks gorgeous & ready to pop shouldn't be considered rude for a pregnant woman as IMO it implies merely that a woman's belly is overwhelming her and therefore that SHE is small while the belly is big. I wouldn't be surprised by any celebrity putting a late due date to gain more privacy. Not huge for date given her small frame but often first pregnancies appear smaller because the skin doesn't stretch as easily. For a 1st preg she is looking a little over avg which makes me wonder if she might be carrying twins. As to sadness, I sincerely hope she doesn't have any concerns over the health of her baby/s or her own. Would be truly awful for her to have any issues as she is such a sweet gentle human being. If she happens to read or a friend of hers does, please offer my best wishes for her and baby-- I'm sure she'll be an amazing mom.

'Ready to pop'? Is that your 'polite' way of saying you think she looks huge? Wow, that's really what a pregnant woman want to hear... Besides she doesn't look nine months pregnant, maybe five or six.

And whether Natalie (or any other woman) is 5 months along or 8 - can we please stop using the expression "ready to pop"? It is so disrespectful and crude. She's not a balloon - she is a woman carrying a baby.

it has to be hard to be so petit and to be preggo - cause when you show - YOU SHOW. she went from a little bump to popping out completely. and she's got a few months left to go. oh well. at least this seems to be good for her and i'm sure that she'll be a great mom.

What's "almost ready to pop"? Like, ready to give birth? Ummm, no. She looks between 5 & 6 months. She may be not as far along at all - she's so tiny, the baby has nowhere to go but out. Thus, a larger belly.

LOL, what happened to this site? Adding all these extra divisions has diluted the site and the messy format is such a downgrade. Was much more fun to visit a couple of years ago when it was just a gossip site and was much more user friendly.

Poor girl. She looks evidently upset to be stalked and mercilessly photographed as she tries to quietly go about her business. I feel quite awful that I am even looking at these pictures and essentially feeding the machine.
