Nicole Richie and Joel Madden shared a Saturday coffee date in LA, and yesterday she was headed out of town on her own, leaving Joel with the new love of his life — his iPad. Nicole joked that he was getting a bit too intimate with the hot gadget, even declaring on Twitter, "Ladies & Gentlemen I am single. @JoelMadden has left me for the Ipad." She had her own life change to report, joking that she wants to start going by her high school Spanish class name, Mikaela. One thing she takes seriously is raising awareness for philanthropic and socially responsible causes, most recently lending her support to Oprah Winfrey's No Phone Zone Pledge commitment to drive responsibly.
