The stars were draped in designer for last night's CFDA Fashion Awards at the Lincoln Center in NYC. Sarah Jessica Parker was in Alexander McQueen and took the stage to pay tribute to the late designer saying, "He had the most beautiful hands I have ever seen." Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were welcomed into the Council last Fall and wore matching black for the exciting event. Emilie de Ravin went a little more playful showing off her legs — weigh in on all the decadent dresses with Fab's polls.

Inside, the nominees, some of whom we chatted with about the honors, mixed and mingled with the other celebrity guests. Gwyneth Paltrow arrived on the arm of and wearing Michael Kors, but it was Anna Wintour who presented him with his Lifetime Achievement Award. Marc Jacobs, who was named womenswear designer of the year, stuck close by Jessica Biel while Dakota Fanning sparkled in her white Marchesa. Ed Westwick and Alexa Chung showed off their own British style mixed in with the American icons.
