Suri Cruise browed the children's section of the Vancouver Public Library and got especially excited showing her dad Tom Cruise a few titles, including Froggy Gets Dressed, yesterday afternoon. They were then off to a father-daughter dinner at a local steakhouse, which ended with the twosome skipping back to their place. Tom had a date night with another of his lady loves, Katie Holmes, over the weekend when they sat front row at a performance of Rock of Ages in LA. Katie has been bouncing beween California, Canada, and her recent Holmes & Yang trunk shows in Dallas and Chicago. Suri, ever the jet-setting 4-year-old, gets to travel with both mom and dad on their work trips and makes her own adventures everywhere she goes.

I never really had an opinion about Tom Cruise and his family until I started reading some of the crap that gets thrown around every single time there's a picture of them. Geez, there's nothing this guy can do without being accused of something sinister, immoral or unethical in some way.

...a public library, really? for a magazine? photo op if I've ever seen one and this little dude, unfortunately, does nothing without preparation and staging family outings...when you reeeeally don't want to be seen, you're not...hence half of Hollywood roaming around my NYC neighborhood undetected most of the time...it's all a game

The photos were clearly taken through the glass. As freaky as Tom Cruise is, I doubt he'd be calling the paps on this particular occasion. For the sake of this little girl, I hope I am not wrong.

Katie is not in the photos. That's one of Tom's sisters. Just because the photos are credited to an agency doesn't mean they can't be taken by a bystander. A bystander can sell the photos to an agency which in turn sells the photos to a blog. Or as someone else said they could be taken through a window. All I know is that the photos look blurry.

The Cruise family has hired paparazzi with them all the time. Well, at least for when they WANT to get photographed, such as this sweet little daddy and daughter day at the library. PR is the name of the game. Wonder why Katie [not credited in photos, by the way] is huddled off in a seat in the back looking like she has a severe migraine.

i bet she was reading a fashion magazine and she was showing her daddy what she wanted to buy her. more dresses and more shoes. but i have to say she is so cute!!!

The photos were taken through glass, so the photogs weren't necessarily even in the building. Other than the fact that Suri is Tom Cruise's daughter, I don't see the draw. She looks like any other child you would see throughout America. I do think she could use a little vitamin D though? I sure she is a lovely girl (?) but I am not getting the phenomenon surrounding her.

Nowadays, everyone has a camera with them. The pics could easily have been taken by someone at the library and sold to an agency. The pics don't look high quality to me. I hope Suri had fun. I loved going to the library when I was a kid.

I question how the photographers are able to get inside and get such photos unless the parent says it is OK. If that is the case, then it is a shame. She should not be a prop.
