Suri Cruise entertained herself by trying on mommy-sized shoes while out shopping at Holt Renfrew with Katie Holmes and a couple friends in Vancouver yesterday. The tot is known to sport kitten heels of her own sometimes, a look that Lauren Conrad thinks only Suri can pull off. Katie checked out the selection as well, but only Suri tested out sparkly pumps for size. The girls are in Canada while Tom continues shooting Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in the city. Katie and Suri visited him on set on Friday night amid the news that Katie's History Channel miniseries The Kennedys will not be broadcast in the US. Katie still landed the cover of Elle to help promote the project and in the interview she once again talked up her four-year-old daughter's style sense. There's a chance that The Kennedys will air on another network and it will be shown internationally, though apparently the famous family itself might be behind it being pulled in the first place.

The loons that post on this site only love on the pitt kids--they hate on everyone else. This little girl is only being a child. And NO, I never post about the Pitt kids and never will.

Comment number 7 is right on the money. The paparazzi are notified by Cruise’s people where and when to be there to get these photos of Suri; Katie obediently trots her out like a show pony for these endlessly unnecessary shopping trips. It’s why they are always so up close and personal to this child. I guess the upside for Katie is that she gets to spend his money.

She's a beautiful beautiful child but...just have to wonder how all the media attention & living large at 3 yrs (or however old she is) will impact her as she grows up. We shall see... what if she all of a sudden goes thru an ugly stage, buck teeth & zits? ouch. lol!

Suri looks like she doesn't know how to interact with other children. Not surprising, as she seems to be with Katie or Tom 100% of the time. A shame she has to entertain herself by trying on shoes, while Katie pursues her shopping hobby. How about a play date with other children instead?

I don't think anyone is hating on Suri for anything. I know from experience that some parents let their kids run stores touching everything and going behind the displays and I personally think its inappropriate, especially at a high-end story. Toys R Us- sure.

My only question is why is the photographer allowed to follow them into the store? Most times when photos of kids are shown, they are through windows and are blurred or only show them coming in or out of the store. But these are up close and personal which makes me think that they were somehow planned and her mother did not object to her child being photographed, which is my problem with these. This child is not a prop or should not be used as one.

Gosh you guys are so harsh. I remember trying on shoes at stores when I was little girl. And I definitely wasn't a brat. My parents were pretty strict. It's fine if you don't like Tom& Katie. But why hate on a little kid?

Yeah, a lot of photos show Suri barefoot in stores or sitting on food counters or handling expensive cosmetics. Katie (who by the way looks exhausted and dour in these photos) is one of those celebrities who think they can act like privileged royalty and that rules for the rest of the public don’t ever apply to them. But the child really cannot be blamed—she has been raised to believe high end department stores and boutiques are her playground. Just look how bored she is in some of these photos. A 4 year old has to make their own fun somehow, especially if all mommy ever does is take her shoe-shopping.
