Katie Holmes held on tight to Tom Cruise's hand while out to celebrate her birthday with dinner at ABC Kitchen followed by drinks at Gemma in NYC on Saturday night. The actress, who turned 32 on Dec. 18, had a packed weekend in the city, including a trip to spin class with Tom before her big evening out and another gym stop on her own yesterday. Katie kicked off the festivities on Friday attending a performance of The Nutcracker with Tom and ballet-loving Suri. Since taking a break from shooting Jack and Jill, Katie's been checking items off of her shopping list, while Suri's been busy spreading holiday cheer.

Her birthday “blow out” weekend consisted of two trips to the gym? LOL. Whoa—slow down there, Kate. That’s a whole lot of celebratin’. And, oh yeah, a celebrity couple showing up hand-in-hand to a very public place with an army of photographers invited along is always, ALWAYS proof-positive that those nasty rumors are totally false. Sure it is. Everyone knows that. LOL.

hopefully this will put that weekly mag cover rumors to bed. i think that it's a shame that people are always hoping for the worst for them. i like them as a couple (always have) even if ppl weren't really on board. i hope that they have a happy marriage and even add to their brood!
