Katie Holmes Kicks Off Birthday Celebrations at The Nutcracker With Tom and Suri!

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and Suri Cruise posed with the ballerinas backstage after attending a performance of The Nutcracker in NYC last night. The 4-year-old looked a little more into her candy than the photo op, though she gave a shy smile when one of the sugar plum fairies showed off her wand. Katie and Tom also chatted with the show's master in chief, Peter Martins. Katie may be making a return to the stage herself, since she's in talks to star in Extremities on Broadway. The Cruises just went from one chilly climate to another, traveling from Vancouver where he was shooting Mission: Impossible 4 to the East Coast for Katie's birthday weekend. She turns 32 today, one month after celebrating her fourth wedding anniversary with Tom. He loves to go all out for his girls, so there's probably more fun up his sleeve for this evening.

...maybe they should ask Suri to make all major family decisions b/c 4 yr olds totally know what's going on...obviously, she's mature and sensible enough to dress herself in the frigid NYC air...there is a joke in here somewhere: Tom Cruise, nutcrackers...

I think Suri wears what Suri wants to wear regardless of the weather. She looks like a precocious spoiled brat who throws regular hissy fits. Just sayin'

Why does Suri have on short sleeves and bare legs? I'm not going to comment on if they look happy or not..because this is a picture that is seconds out of their life. Suri is never dressed properly for cold weather. Bare legs in Dec? Come on Katie and Tom.

It's freeeezing here in the NYC tri state area. Once again, Suri is dressed as if it's June. Bare legs and a summer dress. I am sure she has a coat, ummmm, maybe not, but bare legs? Strange parents....

What a beautiful family of Mariska. August is beautiful. It looks very beautiful with her mother. Thanks for posting photo of Mariska. Besides being a great actress she is a wonderful person and deserves every happiness. That August has the most beautiful smile in the world. Equal to his mother.

Mariska Hargitay her husband and their son August saw the play ‘The Lion King’ the same night as Tom, Katie and Suri saw “The Nutcracker” and the two group of photos which and can be found at justjared are like night and day. Mariska and her family look relax and happy August is walking, smiling at the cast that he got to meet and dress appropriately for the winter weather. While Tom and Katie look like they’re just posing for pictures, they look unhappy and over it and Suri look scared and uninterested in the cast of “The Nutcracker” and she being cared like a show piece facing the paparazzi that she aversely scared of, wearing no jacket in 20 degree weather and a too short dress.
