TIFF On the Scene: John Krasinski and Emily Blunt Get Cute For Looper

Emily Blunt may star in Looper, but it was her husband, John Krasinski, who got some of the loudest screams when they arrived at the TIFF opening night gala at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto on Thursday.

Emily Blunt may star in Looper, but it was her husband, John Krasinski, who got some of the loudest screams when they arrived at the TIFF opening night gala at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto on Thursday. Looper was the festival's big first-evening debut, and there were crowds to show the excitement. John let Emily take center stage when it came time for interviews, ducking into the theater with a smile. Emily's costars Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt also stepped out looking dapper for the premiere. JGL also moved on to introduce the film to another audience a few blocks away in the city as well. He gushed about the "lovely" Emily and jokingly called Bruce "a little indie actor you might have heard of" before taking his seat to enjoy the film with the crowd — and of course, celebrate afterwards with a party.

Golden Globes: Piper Perabo

Piper Perabo quite literally took the red carpet by storm just now — the actress, wearing a pale gray-lavender gown from the Theyskens' Theory Spring 2012 collection, channeled Marilyn Monroe with twirls, kicks, and an ear-to-ear smile. She accessorized her stunning sheer gown with Tiffany & Co. diamonds and Christian Louboutin heels, and kept her hair and makeup quite minimal with a tousled updo and liquid eyeliner. She's definitely having a blast on the red carpet — but what do you think of her look?

The Golden Globes Red Carpet Is Full of Sexy Silhouettes and Gorgeous Gowns

The red carpet at tonight's Golden Globe Awards in LA was packed with lovely ladies.

The red carpet at tonight's Golden Globe Awards in LA was packed with lovely ladies. Whether they went neutral, stood out in color, or stayed safe with black, they all made a statement before the show. Best actress nominee Michelle Williams chose a playful Valentino and Glee's Dianna Agron went with a strapless nude J. Mendel and simple makeup. Anne Hathaway was a standout in a structured Armani gown while Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson both chose sparkly dresses for the big event. Leighton Meester rounded out the night's sandblasted hue trend in a ruched Burberry.

Things took a turn for the bright when Mad Men's January Jones and Christina Hendricks made their entrance in daring red dresses. Lea Michele and winner Claire Danes followed suit in shades of pink while Emma Stone was radiant in a peach Calvin Klein sheath that landed her among the night's best dressed women. Mom-to-be Natalie Portman showed off her strapless Viktor and Rolf when she took the stage to accept the award for best actress.

Angelina Jolie led the group of gals who wore green in a sequined Versace and had the night's hottest accessory, Brad Pitt, on her arm. Black Swan nominee Mila Kunis, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Elisabeth Moss all followed suit in similarly hued gowns while The Fighter's Amy Adams separated herself from the pack in navy blue. Best supporting actress winner Jane Lynch wore a black halter for her walk down the red carpet and Halle Berry rounded out the gorgeous ladies in a daring Nina Ricci mini. Love It or Hate It? Piper Perabo's Style Shift

Piper Perabo has always had such a natural girl-next-door thing going on that seeing her smolder her way across the red carpet at last night's USA Storytelling event was a surprise.

Piper Perabo has always had such a natural girl-next-door thing going on that seeing her smolder her way across the red carpet at last night's USA Storytelling event was a surprise. Combining heavily lined, slightly retro eye makeup with these waves is a new look for her. Do you think she should stick with it?

Piper Perabo to Star in Spy Series on USA

The USA Network has nabbed Piper Perabo to play the broken-hearted CIA agent at the center of its upcoming spy thriller series.

The USA Network has nabbed Piper Perabo to play the broken-hearted CIA agent at the center of its upcoming spy thriller series. Titled Covert Affairs, the series will follow "Annie Walker (Perabo), a CIA trainee who speaks six languages and excels at any endeavor she undertakes. Walker joins the CIA while still reeling over a mysterious ex-boyfriend who appears to be of particular interest to her new bosses. She vows never to let herself be hurt again, but that proves to be a tall order." Still to be cast is Auggie Anderson, "a blind tech expert who assists Walker in her assignments."

Not an exceptionally original concept for a show, but I'm excited to see Perabo on a TV series. She may have had some movie roles here and there since 2000, but in my heart she'll probably always be Violet Sanford from the lovably cheesy Coyote Ugly. It'll be interesting to see what she can do on a weekly spy show.

Salma Hayek went 20s style last night to the Hollywood Domino Tournament in NYC, held to benefit The Art of Elysium children's foundation. She attended a similar event earlier this year alongside Demi Moore and Kate Hudson, and this time she was joined by Heroes' Ali Larter and Lipstick Jungle's Lindsay Price and Kim Raver. While Lindsay and Kim dealt with drama on their show Friday night, all the ladies were dressed up to have a fun and charitable evening. Theirs was the second in a series of benefits held over the weekend, after Sienna Miller attended a bash in London, and it's great to see the celebrities out enjoying their game for a good cause.
