This weekend I made a quick trip home for a friend's wedding, which means the few days were a whirlwind of friend and family gatherings, cocktails, and even a little baking. When I visit home I become a bit of a homebody and try to squeeze in every moment I can relaxing at my parent's house. While this trip didn't leave much time for leisurely vegging, I did indulge in a few quiet moments on the balcony enjoying the crisp weather and blooming bougainvillea crawling up the railing. A newly purchased pleated skirt, an equally blousy shirt, and just washed hair twirled loosely into a bun made for simple accompaniments during the downtime. Of course, I was home to celebrate a bit so the little leopards on my shoes and gold glitter nail polish helped to keep everything interesting rather than sleepy.
