I stopped watching AI after I auditioned for the second season and realized that for every good person who gets on the show even for the first round, two don't even make it past the first screening. There are two screenings before you get on TV with Paula, Simon and Randy and those bad people you watch are hand picked by the producers.

Kelly Clarkson has been my fav from AI . Carrie Underwood is good as well. Season 1 was definitely the best in my opionion it was fresh and original I havent really cared as much since.

I really liked Kelly, Ruben, and Fantasia. Clay fans are too over the top for me. I knew a girl who bought five of Clay's CD's hoping he would outshine Ruben. That is plain pathetic. I stopped watching the show once I realized it had become a popularity contest only and not a talent show. Even the judges make awful choices when picking the top 24. Singing no longer matters on AI.

I'm sorry, but American Idol isn't what it used to be. Now it is some annoying show that drags on for an hour or whatever it is! The only entertaining part is the auditions and still, I feel I could be doing something more useful then watching peoples dreams get crushed or seeing fake annoying bi*ches trying to sing. I can't really take anymore American Idol! Does Anyone agree with me? If so please tell, I feel like I am the only normal person here!

hate to be a downer, but i think american idol makes people stupid. the only thing that's worth watching at all is the beginning with all the bad ones. i honestly feel like american idol is just one of those shows on tv that dumbs everything down for the jessica simpsons in the world. i'll go back to watching my pbs now ;)

I can't wait! Even a lot of them who don't win do well, which is nice to see - look at Jennifer Hudson & the hotness that is Chris Daughtery. I love the funny ones at the beginning, but I'm convinced a lot of them must be fake!
