PopSugar Gets a Makeover!

In case you haven't noticed, there are a few changes on our site. We've listened to your feedback and in order to make images prettier, the site faster and most popular stories easier to find, we've redesigned a few things over here. We know change takes a little getting used to, but we hope you love the new layout and amazing new gallery design. Also, you can now become a follower of Pop by logging in and clicking the "Follow" button in the upper right hand corner of the page. You will then be able to get email updates every time we post a story! Did we mention the hot new galleries? Check it out here and let us know if you have any feedback!

Hey everyone, we're still making changes from all of your commentary, so keep checking back! We've added the new comment link and the TeamSugar profile is now accessible from the top navigation bar. Besides, what was so wrong with the old Pop anyways? I mean, did we REALLY need a change?Please don't make any more "changes" unless your change is to bring back some of the old qualites. Because this is beyone frusterating!

I'm all for change that's good. But I do NOT like it!! 1. I never had an issue with site speed before and now it's running slower than ever. 2. Like everyone else before, the point system/status was soo fun. One of my fav things about this site was reading posts. I miss my platinum! Plus I liked knowing who else were regulars and who were not. 3. I miss the old colors/ look of pop. There's just waaay too much going on now. 4. Again, why is this new site sooo SLOW? it takes so long to scroll down the page that I've already cut back on my visits here and I come here quite a bit throughout the day. I've loved this site for years! even before I officially became a "member". But it saddens me to say it but I think my days of Pop being my number one site might be over. Please fix some of these issues!!!

pleeeaassee change it back! or at least make it an option to revert back to the old settings for the people who want to. This site is my stress reliever when I want to take my mind off of "real life", but now its just confusing and frustrating.end of whiny rant.

i'm not a fan. i lost my diamond status! but no what really isn't my fav is now the pics open in the same window- so to get back to the main page is a pain in the butt, where as before you could just close the window!

I also hate having to go through OnSugar to get to a profile. Yeah, it's one extra click, but without your instructions above it's not at all clear how to get to the profile. It just seems like common sense that clicking on someone's name would take you to their profile, not a different page.

The "click here" link to give Feedback takes you to a Golden Globes slideshow, so I'm guessing this is the only place to give feedback?I like the look other than the awful, migraine-inducing black bar. I hate that there's no new messages link and honestly, there's no reason to read Pop without it. I'll stick to lilsugar, where the format is still the old one. Losing status SUCKS. And nothing loads for me from Pop anymore, profiles, getting to my messages, etc. I have to go to lilsugar to get anywhere.

i like it, it look much better than before. i goin use it all time. Keep it upnext time, can u put everyone their own layout colour so i would like choose gold theme

Thank you all for your honest feedback, compliments and observations! We're incredibly proud of the new look and speediness of the site, but like any makeover, there is still some some work to be done and features that we know need to be improved. We appreciate your support and patience as we add the finishing touches. To answer some of your questions: Where can you find your TeamSugar profile page, groups, or any page on TeamSugar? When you click on your member name you will be directed to a page with your OnSugar activity. If you are an active TeamSugar member, you will see a big link on the top right of that page that says "TeamSugar Profile". If you click on that you will see your profile page with all your activity, links to your groups, blogs, comments, gifts, and all the customization you've set up. It's one extra click, but everything is still there! As always, you can go to TeamSugar and find all your activity. Where is the “unread comments” link? Many of you have mentioned that you can't see unread comments on posts. We know this is a pain and we’re working on it! What is OnSugar? You now see the OnSugar bar at the top of the page and are being directed to an OnSugar profile page when you click on your member name because we have moved the site on to OnSugar, Sugar Inc.’s new publishing platform! You can learn more about OnSugar and how you can start your own site using the same great tools we do on the “What Is OnSugar?” blog. Again, thanks for your support and suggestions. Please keep adding them to this thread!

There is a difference between lookers and savers. I'm a saver. I don't care about my profile.If you don't allow drag-n-drop for photos, your site goes from daily #8 to #just_for_grins. Which means pretty much nothing...

Oooh- got more.1. When I post why in the world does it take me back to post #1?2. When you click on a thread, and then use the back button, you are not taken back to the tread you have clicked on to navigate way from the front page, but you're taken to the top of the page. WTH?

1. Have to agree that I hate not being able to see if there are new comments.2. If you use the spacebar to navigate down the page, before all the pictures "usually" lined up. Now they don't and you're always having to use the up and down buttons to be able to see.3. What the heck is Onsugar? I don't want it.4. Where did Teamsugar go? 5. Why doesn't it keep me logged in? Sooooo annoying.6. It's slow.7. I have to agree that the points were a nice touch.6. Where did Mysugar go?7. I love this website but unless A LOT of the functionality comes back I'm not going to be coming here as much.
