Jennifer Aniston made her much-anticipated cameo on the premiere episode of her friend Courteney Cox's series Cougar Town last night. Despite your excitement and Jen's movie star status, her appearance ultimately didn't do much to boost ratings. Around eight million people tuned in, as opposed to last year's debut with eleven million viewers. It might not be the end of pal casting for the show, though, as Busy Philipps recently told us she'd love to have her own BFF, Michelle Williams, as a guest star. So, tell us what you think — did you enjoy Jennifer Aniston's cameo?

The show sucked....but Jennifer's character and her acting was great. In my opinion, she carried the enitre show. This was the only episode I have watched and I won't watch another because the writing is obviously horrible.
I watched it because of Jen but otherwise I never watch it. I just don't care for the show. At the end of the season the ratings were around 6,16 so it gained about 2 million more viewers for the opening. It had been going down hill all year. As for Jen's movies, The Bounty Hunter made about $56 m. for the studio without the dvd sales and rentals. I even saw The Switch and enjoyed it. It has made back what it cost so the dvd and rentals will bring in money. Look at all the movies out that didn't even make what they cost and yet no one says anything about them. I thought she was funny in Cougar Town and enjoyed watching her.

It wasn't funny at all, very typical and predictable. I think Cougartown started off way better and as the season went on it got less and less funny. The boys are still hilarious, I think Jules got really whiny and annoying after a while.

I actually watched it and did not find it funny at all. Other parts of the episode (Jules's advertisement being defaced by Bobby slayed me and I loved "grayson-ship") but that whole part with Jennifer Aniston as sthe crazy therapist basing her advice on her dog - not so much.
I did not like that at all.
People who didn't watch the episode really should not be telling us how awful it was because they truly have no idea. For us who actually watched, it was FUNNY. Jennifer did a good job and she fit in with the rest of the cast. I hope they have her back.
They have both had some bad plastic surgery or botox done, it was definitely distracting me from what they were saying!

Hey, you failed to mention that as last season progressed, Cougar Town ratings dropped significantly. The 8.3 million viewers last night was about 2.5 million more than the average for last year and the viewers for the season finale. Was Jen supposed to "save" this show? At any rate, her performance was great.

I'm with Splork. The role they created for her was awful. It was the worst part of the episode. I have been surprised by how good the writing is overall - the show is actually very funny - but they completely dropped the ball with her appearance.
I tuned in and watched just to see Jen and enjoyed the show. I thought they were good together and it was funny. Normally I don't watch it because of Hell's Kitchen.

It was awful. The storyline was terrible. I rather like the two of them but it's like they sat down and figured how they could create a different Aniston character. Something *quirky*. It sucked. The part seemed hurried. She didn't know what to do with it. She wasn't funny. She wasn't sexy. If this was their effort to bring back viewers then they failed miserably. My guess is they will lose viewers after that episode.
Her fanbase is a very loud, vocal, harsh people that only exist online. That's why her films don't do as well as Sandra bullock films. Had Sandra bullock been on cougar town the ratings would have went up. People truly like Sandra, most just feel sorry for aniston.
