Scarlett Johansson Releases a New Single — Keep 'Em Coming, or Stick to Acting?

Scarlett Johansson has lately been getting accolades for her work in A View From the Bridge, but the multitalented actress also found time to head into the studio and record another song. She's collaborated on a version of the band Steel Train's "Bullet," which will be on their upcoming album of covers sung by famous female artists. Scarlett has dabbled in music previously, with her first album and a duo with Pete Yorn. We're curious as to what you make of Scarlett's musical endeavors — keep 'em coming, or stick to acting?

Ryan had a woman who is an awesome singer and left her for this bimbo! Alanis is a much classier, much more talented person.

Here's the thing... she isn't doing pop, so people are all "Well hey, she's going a different route than most actors-turned-singers do!" but they are still somehow missing the big problem-- she can't sing! She absolutely can't sing, she is talking in a breathy voice very slowly into a microphone. Not singing. What she's doing is unbelievably easy, and unless she's writing the music (or muzak, because this is some boring stuff) I will never consider her a musician. Not with THAT voice. I don't think she's much of an actress either, but I can sit through a movie she's in, but I couldn't sit through an album of hers.

Scarlett should stick to acting she like most actors that want to be singers can't sing worth a Damn some oscar winning actors/actresses on the other hand sing beautifully for example Joanne Woodward granted she only ever sang on screen once and it was in the film for which she won the best actress oscar 1957's The Three Faces Of Eve and she also plays the piano beautifully like she did in one of the hotel scenes in the movie Paris Blues but she knew to stick to her first love acting and was nominated for or won many more awards over her illustrious career something Ms Johannson will never have

She is better at acting, her first single was better than this one but I like that Scar tries new and unusual things.

totally agree with stellaruby and splork, she should not do acting OR singing. her acting is so one note, i cannot stand her monotone voice and expressionless face. she literally drives me crazy!

Not a common voice which is good... But that doesn't make her a good singer to me. And it's not that i don't like the songs, i just think she doesn't have the voice to sing.

I love her collab with Pete Yorn. My hubby and I play it all the time!! She has an unique voice that is rare these days.
