President Obama at the Christmas in Washington Special

Even President Obama Can Be Charmed by Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman shook hands with President Obama.

Hugh Jackman got to work his charm on another charismatic guy — President Barack Obama — when the actor joined the president and his family for a taping of TNT's Christmas in Washington special on Sunday night. Hugh wasn't the only star who was hanging out with the Obamas that night as the Backstreet Boys, Anna Kendrick, Charles Barkley, Janelle Monáe, and Sheryl Crow also dropped by for the night of Christmas cheer and songs. President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama got in on the cheer when they handed out treats to a collection of adorable little elves (who were played by young children) while their kids, Sasha and Malia, watched on.

While the special won't air until Friday, Dec. 20, Hugh gave a sneak peek of his impressive singing skills when he shared a rehearsal video of himself singing "Gloria in excelsis Deo" with a choir.
