Things took a funny turn during the LGBT Pride Month reception at the White House on Monday, when President Obama made a joke about his pastry chef Bill Yosses's incredible pies. Obama took a moment to recognize the work of the "crust master," saying of the pies, "I don't know what he does, whether he puts crack in them, or . . . " After a short pause, the room erupted in laughter as First Lady Michelle Obama [1] clarified, "No, he doesn't. There's no crack in our pies." The president went on to explain that they had to implement a "really firm rule" about not eating pie during the week, adding, "The first year, my cholesterol, like, shot up."
