Golden Globe Awards: Rachel Weisz

It was all dots and bows for Rachel Weisz tonight.

It was all dots and bows for Rachel Weisz tonight. The star arrived on the red carpet in a black Louis Vuitton gown, which featured semisheer polka-dotted panels around the neckline and the length of the floor-skimming skirt. Her gown got some added definition and a hint of sheen from a satin bow belt, which also picked up on the retro feel of her look. Rachel made sure the fashion throwback continued with her hair in loose waves. Then, she complemented her dress with a black clutch and platform sandals. And, to top it all off, she concentrated all of her jewels to her left hand with a seriously sparkling diamond bracelet. What do you think of Rachel's mod look?

Daniel Craig Cheers On Rachel at the NY Film Critics Circle Awards

Jessica Chastain, Matthew McConaughey, Rachel Weisz, and many more stars celebrated their fellow actors and filmmakers at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards in New York City last night.

Jessica Chastain, Matthew McConaughey, Rachel Weisz, and many more stars celebrated their fellow actors and filmmakers at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards in New York City last night. Matthew, who wore a suit by Dolce&Gabbana, won best supporting actor for his performances in Magic Mike and Bernie while Rachel beat out Jessica — who did triple-duty that night by appearing on the Late Show and attending a screening for Mama in addition to this event — for best actress for her role in The Deep Blue Sea. Rachel's husband Daniel Craig cheered Rachel on from the audience when she won her award.

Jessica's film Zero Dark Thirty was the big winner of the night, earning best director for Kathryn Bigelow and best cinematography for Greg Fraser. Highly-buzzed-about films Les Misérables and Argo missed out altogether. However, those films and their stars will have plenty of chances to scoop up more honors once award season starts up in earnest this week with the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday and the Critic's Choice Awards on Thursday. And don't forget about the Golden Globes, which are this Sunday, and your chance to predict the winners with our special Golden Globes ballot. If you predict the highest number of Golden Globes winners, you could win $1,500 and an iPad Mini!

James Franco Crashes Emerald City in the Oz: The Great and Powerful Trailer

Director Sam Raimi gave audiences a sneak peek to his epic new film, Oz: The Great and Powerful, at this year's Comic-Con, but now we're treated to the full-length trailer.

Director Sam Raimi gave audiences a sneak peek to his epic new film, Oz: The Great and Powerful, at this year's Comic-Con, but now we're treated to the full-length trailer. The teaser gave us a good feel for the film's whimsical aesthetic, but the new preview sheds some light on the Wizard of Oz prequel's actual plot. Shady magician Oz (James Franco) gets plopped into the Emerald City and is tasked with saving the land of Oz. Though he strives to do something great with his life, Oz is unsure if he can live up to the expectations of those depending on him, like witchy sisters Theodora (Mila Kunis) and Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and the luminous Glinda (Michelle Williams). If he succeeds, the kingdom, and all its riches, are his.

In short: this movie looks astounding. Raimi is doing it in 3D and I can't wait to be smack in the middle of the Emerald City — talking dolls, flying monkeys, and all. I'm especially curious to see the Wicked Witch 2.0; that flash of her fiery appearance at the end is chilling. I like that he's balancing the scary factor with a little bit of humor; I got in a chuckle at the munchkin part. Oz: The Great and Powerful hits theaters March 8, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Daniel Craig and Daniel Day-Lewis Win Big at The Britannia Awards

Stars hit the red carpet at the 2012 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel last night.

Stars hit the red carpet at the 2012 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel last night. Daniel Craig was joined by his Skyfall Bond girls, Bérénice Marlohe and Naomie Harris, but it was his wife, Rachel Weisz, who he leaned in to kiss before picking up the British artist of the year honor.

Daniel Day-Lewis was also in attendance, and after Steven Spielberg presented him with the Stanley Kubrick Award for Excellence in Film, he took advantage of his stage time to show off his funny side. Daniel thanked BAFTA with a spoof of Clint Eastwood's conversation with an empty chair at the Republican National Convention. The comical speech was somewhat unexpected from Daniel, who is best known for his serious roles, including Spielberg's Lincoln, which hits theaters next week. The Britannia Awards will be broadcast on BBC America Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. ET as a two-hour special.

Kate Hudson and Rachel Weisz joined their guys at an SNL afterparty on Saturday night.

Kate Hudson and Rachel Weisz joined their guys at an SNL afterparty on Saturday night. Daniel Craig hosted the weekend's episode, with Matt and his band, Muse, appearing as the musical guests. Daniel appeared on the show a few weeks ahead of the release of his next Bond film, Skyfall, on Nov. 9. Daniel Craig's SNL wasn't a critical hit, though, with a Big Bird gag on Weekend Update being the most talked-about moment. Kate was able to celebrate in the Big Apple with Matt and his fellow Brits Daniel and Rachel during a break from shooting Clear History in Boston. Kate's HBO movie has a special late-night connection, too — SNL star Bill Hader also has a role in Clear History.

The Bourne Legacy: Not Bourne Again

Jeremy Renner begins a new chapter in the franchise Matt Damon left behind with The Bourne Legacy, an unremarkable follow-up to the popular action series.

Jeremy Renner begins a new chapter in the franchise Matt Damon left behind with The Bourne Legacy, an unremarkable follow-up to the popular action series. This installment picks up somewhere in the middle of 2007's The Bourne Supremacy and introduces new hero Aaron Cross (Renner). Though Jason and Aaron's paths don't cross, Jason's presence is riddled throughout the film. A couple of familiar characters make brief appearances, but for the most part, The Bourne Legacy showcases an entirely new cast. Writer/director Tony Gilroy is also new to directing the Bourne series (though he wrote the screenplays for the first three) and seems to be attempting to capture the same frantic energy of the prior films, but instead he falls flat, strapped with snooze-inducing material and a story that takes way too long to get to the point.

Like Jason, Aaron is part of a top-secret government program, but is left out to dry when it gets shut down. Agents start dropping like flies all over the globe, all except Aaron, who is isolated on some "bullsh*t scavenger hunt" in the mountains. He realizes the mission he's on is no longer routine and life is in danger shortly after a missile destroys his cabin. Unfortunately, Aaron can't sever ties with the agency just yet; he needs the mysterious strength-building pills that its pretty scientist Dr. Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz) has been supplying him with. The fact that we never find out what will happen to Aaron if he fails to take these pills is just one of the issues I have with this movie. To find out what else I thought, just keep reading.
