Rebecca Romijn Wonders When Motherhood Gets Easier

Rebecca Romijn is 16 months into motherhood and enjoying the first leg of the lifelong journey with twin daughters Dolly and Charlie O'Connell.

Rebecca Romijn is 16 months into motherhood and enjoying the first leg of the lifelong journey with twin daughters Dolly and Charlie O'Connell. "There's nothing dainty or delicate about these girls," the actress said during our recent interview. "But they are little princesses and we love them so much," she added. The former model and her husband, actor Jerry O'Connell are keeping their children's birth order under wraps, but she was candid when it came time to chat about being a mom.

LilSugar: Fill in the blank. You know you’re a mother when ____.
Rebecca Romijn: You know you're a mother when you feel yourself into the embrace of your baby for the first time and it's immediate. It happens as soon as they're born and it's an honor.

LilSugar: Fill in the blank. Why didn’t anybody tell me _____ about motherhood?
Rebecca Romijn: Why didn't anybody tell me that it continues to be really, really hard. Everyone kept telling me, "Oh don't worry after three months it gets so much easier" and then people go, "After eight months it gets so much easier". I haven't experienced when it gets easier and I have a feeling with twins it's going to be when they are a little bit older.

Rebecca Romijn's Twin Daughters Won't Know Who's Older!

Dolly and Charlie O'Connell's parents are keeping a big secret!

Dolly and Charlie O'Connell's parents are keeping a big secret! Rebecca Romijn and her husband Jerry may live public lives, but their 16-month-old daughters are no different from other tots — except they will likely never know which twin is older! We had the opportunity to chat with the model, actress, and mother yesterday while she was promoting Huggies' denim diapers. When asked about the personality differences between her darling duo, she said:

This may sound strange, but we decided before they were born — I had a c-section so they both came out at the same time — that they wouldn't know which one was born first. Technically, one did come out first, but we feel like a lot of twins get to brag —"I was born five minutes earlier. I was born first." and the truth is they shared the womb. We're also curious to see if the one who is older naturally takes on that first sibling role. On their birth certificates, they were born in the same minute. It was a conversation we had with the doctor before they were even born and so far it's worked out pretty well. They are both extremely strong willed and neither of them seems to be in charge of the other at all. They are young and developing their personalities and their relationship with each other so they don't need to know that information. Maybe when they are much older we'll tell them.

Roxie, Rebecca Romijn's character in witchy, sexy new ABC drama Eastwick, is an eccentric artist whose bohemian ways are reflected in her house's furnishings. Her bedroom especially rocks a boho-bordello vibe that suits this widowed mommy (who's dating a much younger man) quite well. Modern Family

TV Tonight: Cougar Town, Modern Family and Eastwick

It's a big night for ABC — the network is premiering three shows tonight including half of their new Wednesday block of comedy.

It's a big night for ABC — the network is premiering three shows tonight including half of their new Wednesday block of comedy. Hank and The Middle will take over the 8 o'clock hour next week, but tonight brings a few shows I'm actually pretty excited about. First up is Modern Family which is one of my favorite new comedies and after you watch you'll see why we've been saying "Why the face?" to each other in the office for weeks already. The pilot of Cougar Town didn't thrill me, but Bill Lawrence and Courteney Cox eased my fears at the TCAs. Cougar Town has apparently undergone some changes before it hits the air tonight so I'm eager to see whether any of the jokes have gotten less cringe-worthy.

At 10 there's Eastwick starring Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price and Jaime Ray Newman. As for Paul Gross? Well you'll have to watch to find out exactly what's up with his otherworldly character. At times it's a little too Practical Magic meets Desperate Housewives, but enough happens in the first episode to keep me watching — at least for a few episodes. Considering how much I love Glee and So You Think You Can Dance — speaking of which don't miss our awesome new giveaway! — it's one of those nights I'm extra thankful for TiVo. What do you think, will any of these shows take a spot in your Wednesday night rotation?

Do You Think the World Was Made For Pairs?

The picture of the all-American family that lives in the house with a picket fence has long included a mom, dad, and two children.

The picture of the all-American family that lives in the house with a picket fence has long included a mom, dad, and two children. Most restaurants have tables for four readily available. When mamas and papas choose to have two offspring, they are never outnumbered. Notable parents of multiples, from Jon Gosselin to Rebecca Romijn, have said that the world is made for pairs. The former was content after having his 8-year-old twin daughters, Cara and Mady, and it appears that the latter parent has a similar sentiment in raising her lil duo, Dolly and Charlie, who are 8 months. The actress recently said:

"I'm pretty sure that this is it. We feel like the world was made for pairs. Four feels like the perfect number."

Whether you chose to have a single child or half a dozen, do you think that society more readily accommodates families of four?

Do You Like the Heavy Celeb Presence on Project Runway?

It was to be expected that when Project Runway moved to Los Angeles, the show would feature more celebrities.

It was to be expected that when Project Runway moved to Los Angeles, the show would feature more celebrities. Heidi Klum once said that Hollywood has had a major influence on the world of fashion. We're three episodes in, and there have been three celebrity guest judges: Lindsay Lohan served as guest judge on the first episode, Rebecca Romijn was the subject of the episode two's maternity challenge, and last night, Rachel Bilson gave her two cents on the surf-wear challenge. PR has had celebrity guest judges in the past, but now it's become a regular component of the show. So I want to know, do you like the heavy celeb presence on PR?
