It was an extra special holiday this year for Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth — the couple have announced they're engaged! In a statement to Us Weekly her rep confirms the exciting news, saying, "They are extremely happy." One of 2010's most adorable couples began dating early in the year and instantly became inseparable, spending time together from trips to Ojai, to church outings and softball games. He even joined Reese's family as she got her star on the walk of fame last month. Congrats on the big news to Reese and Jim!

Phew! This is a good news. I've always been afraid that Jake and that ugly-chin old-f*rt would get back together. Now she's going to be married (hopefully it's true), then she will be kicked out of the picture. BTW, I don't understand people who've been calling Reese mature and Jake immature. Who's being immature here? Since their breakup until now, Jake has NEVER mentioned a word about her and their relationship while Reese has never forgotted to send out news through "sources" calling Jake immature. If he were immature, then why wasted more than 2 years with him??? Besides, who's mature to say that she wasn't ready for marriage then accepts the proposal from a guy whom she's dated for only a few months??? In addition, Jake took his time to move on with a young, drop-dead gorgeous-looking, rich, and talented Taylor Swift leaving behind his old, ugly, sore loser ex Reese crying to dead for losing him. Good luck to Reese! Hope she's smart enough to make him sign a prenup because I am sure this marriage is not going to last more than 2 years unless she agrees to pay him $100M to stay with her for 5 years....

Dang. Wasn't she JUST screwing Jake??? I didn't even know she was really dating anyone THAT serious. Okay. Let's be for real. If you were Jake, and you did all that stuff with Reese. Played with her kids. Walked the mutt dogs. Really loved her dirty draws. She dumps you because she's not ready for things to be super serious...only for her to immediately start screwing another guy after the break up and to be engaged months later. You can't say you wouldn't be pissed. Yeah, Jake's screwing Taylor Swift, but I feel like that was a rebound. I'm sorry, but I don't believe you can go from a serious relationship, especially with children involved, to breaking up and dating someone else seriously months later. Unless your feelings are like a light switch.

I never liked her with Jake and am surprised anyone misses that relationship. He was always too immature for her in my mind and the whole Taylor Swift nonsense confirms that in my mind. I've loved her with Jim since day one and think they will go the distance. When you know you know--I'm.surprised it took this long. Congrats!

I do not understand people like Misty11 who think that she is a publicity loving fame whore. To me she seems like she doesn't enjoy extra attention but doesn't whine about it like others who work in the public spotlight. I think this is a genuine relationship and while I obviously loved her with Jake, I think she and this Jim guy are going to be happy.
