Reese Witherspoon Pictures at ACE Awards 2012

Reese Witherspoon wore all black on Saturday night to attend the annual ACE Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She took the stage during the ceremony to present her Election director, Alexander Payne, with the evening's Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year. She had help in handing off the statue from Alexander's The Descendants editor Kevin Trent. Alexander was up for further honors yesterday. His Descendants won Best Adapted Screenplay at the Writers Guild Awards, which took place simultaneously last night on the East and West Coasts.

The ACE Awards offered Reese a reunion with Alexander, and a chance to reflect on their 1999 movie. Reese had a brand new movie arrive in theaters this weekend as well. This Means War was fifth place at the box office, taking in a disappointing $17.6 million.
