Reese Witherspoon Goes Glam on the Set of Water For Elephants

Reese Witherspoon channeled classic Hollywood in a red silk dress, Vera Wang sunglasses, and 1930s-inspired waves filming Water for Elephants in downtown LA on Thursday. She's home after spending most of the movie's production on location in Ventura, where Reese showed off her circus tricks like horseback riding. Her costar Robert Pattinson looked quite dapper in a tux at yesterday's shoot. Reese and Rob have been clocking long hours in front of the camera this Summer, though they've spent their downtime differently — she relaxes with her kids and boyfriend Jim Toth, while Rob promoted Eclipse alongside his costars before its release this week.

I'm sure Reese will look good on film after they do all that HW magic. But isn't that what cinematography is all about anyways.

She's way too old for Marlena. They should have cast someone younger like Amanda Seyfried, off the top of my head. I loved the book and the movie is ruined. First Pattinson, then Witherspoon. Hopefully, Christoph Waltz can save it.

@kissmestupid It is the 1930's Circus. If you read the book you would also understand why they are dressing in evening wear. Just calm the eff down. Seriously. No one looks good going to set...

Aren't these supposed to be circus folks from the 1930's? I'm sure that's the only ones who would think Reese looks glamorous. Her hair is bleached to death. Her dress is ill fitting and the absolutely wrong color for her. Her makeup seems to emphaize her wrinkles. Gotta look better in post production.
